MAINTENANCE 5 FILTERS Your Series 650 comes equipped with disposable filters which must be replaced at regular intervals. They cannot be cleaned. The length of time between filter replacement is dependent on the amount of contamination in the environment. Generally, the pre-filter will last 1 to 3 months while the main filter will last 6 to 12 months. Replace the filters when there is a noticeable drop in air volume. The filters must be replaced with filters of the same, size, type, and efficiency rating in order to maintain the performance of the unit. Incorrect filters can lead to premature motor failure and will void the manufacturer's warranty. Check the distributor or manufacturer to determine the exact filter configuration for the specific installation. The filters are serviced by following these steps: Note: If your unit is equipped with an ozone generator, the generator should be removed and the screen grids should be cleaned in soapy water, rinsed and dried each time the primary filters are replaced. 1. Open the filter access door. 2. Slide the dirty filters out. 3. Insert new filters. 4. Close filter access door. Filter Change Diagram The Series 650 can be fitted with an intake and/or a discharge air plenum for ducting. The ducting should be 16" in diameter or more, or the equivalent in square or rectangular ducts. The duct runs should not exceed 35 ft. total. The Series 650 air volume will be reduced by up to 20% when plenums and ducting are attached.
