EDITORIAL PROFILES LISA GREEN Editor In Chief Lisa Green joined Australian House & Garden as Editor-in-Chief in 2006 and has firmly established the magazine as the leading aspirational homes brand in the Australian market. Lisa began her career as a cadet journalist in 1987 with the News Ltd Group before moving into magazines in 1993. Over a two year period at Fairfax s The Sydney Morning Herald, Lisa edited Domain and Good Living Fashion before joining ACP (Bauer Media) as Editor of The Australian Women s Weekly, engineering its 2005 revamp. Her journalism skills and keen aesthetic continue to drive the magazine s success across multiple platforms. JOHN MCDONALD Deputy Editor John has been working in homes publishing for well over a decade. He spent almost 12 years on Real Living, beginning with the launch issue in 2005, first as chief subeditor and then as deputy editor, until moving to House & Garden as deputy editor in September 2016. John was also heavily involved in the successful launch of Homes+ magazine in September 2014, along with various editions of The Block magazine and numerous books and one-shots for the brands. MELISSA HEATH Creative Director Melissa has worked in magazines for 23 years. Her career includes some of Australia s most prestigious home, food and fashion brands including Gourmet Traveller and Marie Claire. With a degree in design and a passion for interiors, styling and photography, Melissa believes your home should be a collection of beautiful things that inspire you and that tell a story of your individuality. This is the approach she takes in helping to create House & Garden each month. Melissa is married to a builder and they have renovated a number of properties together. ELIZABETH WILSON Senior Features & Gardens Editor Elizabeth has worked in homemaker magazines for 20 years and at Australian House & Garden for seven, having previously held the position of editor at Australian Country Style. Elizabeth oversees the gardens section of H&G, writing much of the content herself, and she is also instrumental in producing the content for all other features covering people, expert advice and design solutions. KATE NIXON Interiors & Houses Editor With a practiced eye for timeless style and on-trend design, Kate brings a detailed focus to the H&G interiors offering. She has worked with the title since 2004 across food, people and lifestyle features, houses and interiors. I believe in layered interiors and attention to detail, in the beauty of gathered pieces found with love. I believe in food, music, family and friends. I believe in home. KAYLA GEX Senior Stylist Creating stylish and affordable content are attributes that Kayla strives to bring to each issue of H&G.
