SAFETY INFORMATION Do not touch any exposed cables or wires. Do not operate the fridge in wet or damp environments. Do not submerge the fridge in water. When using the fridge in a vehicle, make sure that the circuit being used is fused. Any installation of DC power systems should be handled by a qualified professional. Make sure the source voltage is correct. The technical data label has the voltage data for the fridge. Ensure that the fridge is kept steady and secure as it can become heavy when filled. A filled fridge may be heavy so be cautious when attempting to lift it. NOTES ON USING THE PRODUCT Good ventilation is necessary for the fridge. Allow a gap of at least 20cm around the vents to allow for airflow. If its power supply is cut off, the fridge will switch off automatically and turn back on when it starts to receive power. Do not place any electrical devices inside the refrigerator as moisture could harm them. Frost build-up can affect the cooling ability of the fridge. Humidity in the unit can cause this frost. Placing your refrigerator near a heat source can reduce its efficiency and heat up its contents. Make sure that you keep the fridge several metres away from heat sources. Place the refrigerator on a flat surface and away from any edges. When using the fridge in a vehicle, please use a fastening device to secure it. page 1

TROUBLESHOOTING THE EVAKOOL APP PROBLEM SOLUTION I cannot see or connect to the wireless network Check that your device has its Wi-Fi capabilities turned on. Make sure you are in range of the fridge (normally around 10-20 meters). Make sure you are using the correct passcode 55555555 (8 x 5 s) for the Wi-Fi Network. You may already be connected to a different wireless network. Turn the fridge and your phone off and on again. Ensure that you are connected to the fridge s wireless network. Check that the Fridge ID is the same as the wireless network the fridge is projecting. Make sure you are using the correct user ID and Password. I cannot pair the fridge with the application If the above has failed, follow the below steps: Uninstall the Evakool app. Close all applications in the background. Turn off the fridge and phone. Turn both the fridge and the phone back on after a couple of minutes. Re-install the Evakool app. If you are still having problems, please do not hesitate to contact Evakool (07) 5492 7777. page 12

GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM The appliance is not turning on. The food inside is frozen or very icy. SOLUTION Check the power supply. Ensure the power plug is placed firmly in its socket. Check whether the fuse needs replacing. Make sure that the fridge has been turned on and is not in standby mode. See page 2 for instructions. The fridge s temperature is too low. See the instructions on page 2 for how to increase the temperature. The set temperature might be inappropriate. Try changing it as per page 2. The lid could be unlocked, open or is not able to fully close. Remove the blockage and close the fridge completely. The refrigerator s seal may be broken or failing. Check to see if you see any faults and contact Evakool if you need a replacement. Bad performance in refrigeration The fridge may have poor ventilation. Try removing any objects that are blocking the ventilation vents. The fridge may be overfull. Try removing some items. The contents of the fridge may have been overly warm when placed inside. Let food cool down before refrigerating them. There is a heat source near the unit. Move the fridge away from sources of heat. The sound of moving liquid can be heard within the refrigerator Unusual noise can be heard when the refrigerator is working This is normal behaviour and is due to the flow of the refrigerant. No fix should be necessary. The refrigerator is not placed on a level surface. Carefully move the fridge to a level surface. Be careful not to move heavy objects. Something may have come loose in the refrigerator. Contact Evakool for advice about this. page 13

ERROR CODES The Adventure Kings WiFi Fridge has an error system where a code is displayed as a series of flashes over a four second period. Each sequence of flashes indicates a specific error as shown in the table below. Note: this fridge is fitted with an automatic 60 second restart delay. This will be activated if your fridge enters an error mode. It is designed to protect the fridge if an error occurs. CODE WARNING SOLUTION 1 flash every four seconds 2 flashes every four seconds 3 flashes every four seconds 4 flashes every four seconds 5 flashes every four seconds Low voltage Fan issue Compressor start issue Compressor speed is too low Ambient temperature is too high Please check the source voltage to ensure it is above the cut out range. Try lowering the voltage cut out setting to LOW (page 2). The vehicle cabling may be inadequate or unsuitable. Please refer to the cable specifications table on the next page for correct cable thickness. Try on another power source. Fan is drawing too many amps (over 1 amp) replace fan. NOTES ON OPERATION Power: The electronic control module controls the compressor motor and has the function of a three-stage battery protection. When the input voltage drops below the minimum, the compressor will cut out; when the voltage comes back up to the cut-in value, the compressor will restart automatically. Battery Protection: The Danfoss compressor requires approximately 11 volts (for a 12V system) or 23.0 volts (for a 24V system) to operate. If the voltage drops below this, the fridge will stop running. Cable Specification Table The DC cables must have a suitable cross-section for their length, according to this table: Cable area 12V Max Cable Length* 24V Max Cable Length* [mm2] AWG [m] [ft.] [m] [ft.] 2.5 13 2.5 8 5 16 4 11 4 13 8 26 6 9 6 20 12 39 10 7 10 33 20 66 * - Note, the length is from the battery to the refrigerator. page 15
