EXPERIENCE: Mr. Hodson retired from the Provo Police Department in November 2006. He served as a patrol officer, detective, Sergeant, and a fire investigator. He began investigating fires in 1991. He previously served with the Emery County Sheriff s Office, Oceanside Police Department, and Chula Vista Police Department. He served with the Castle Dale Volunteer Fire Department for 6 years. Mr. Hodson has investigated over 1,000 fires. Mr. Hodson is a graduate of the Utah State Police Academy. He is a graduate of Weber State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Hodson is an adjunct instructor with Utah Valley University and the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy. He instructs fire investigation training.
