5TH ANNUAL WALLER CREEK CONSERVANCY POP-UP PICNIC SHIP OPPORTUNITIES The Pop-Up Picnic is a beloved community event, bringing Austinites from all over the city together to experience incredible food and company, all in an urban park. The picnic previews what s to come on a transformed Waller Creek.

Future Waterloo Park and Moody Amphitheater WALLER CREEK TRANSFORMATION Waller Creek is a game-changer for Austin. Waller Creek Conservancy has joined forces with the City of Austin to implement a truly iconic and outstanding design for the lower 1.5-mile section of Waller Creek; aiming to create an all-inclusive space that renews the natural environment, fosters the creative arts, and nourishes health through authentic and uplifting experiences. This new district of parks will connect and inspire our community, linking together key elements of Austin s identity, including: UT, the Texas Capitol grounds, a growing medical complex, our famous music and entertainment districts, Austin s Convention Center, Rainey Street district, Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, and Lady Bird Lake. Waller Creek Conservancy is at work implementing this chain of parks, designed by renowned landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, that will restore native creek ecology and include bike and pedestrian trails integrated with Austin s trail network, interactive playscapes, and a worldclass, new performance venue, The Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park. POP-UP PICNIC APRIL 8, 6:30PM PALM PARK Photo Credit: Molly Winters BENEFITING WALLER CREEK CONSERVANCY This community picnic has quickly become an Austin favorite, with more than 1,000 guests and families gathering and celebrating the restoration of downtown green space in Palm Park. The evening features curated picnic baskets from some of Austin s best local restaurants and a variety of creative libations, including a mobile champagne cart from June s All Day Cafe and Bar. Free and open to the public, the Pop-Up Picnic draws a crowd of Austinites who love green space, great design, and fabulous cuisine. This year marks the picnic s 5th anniversary, and we are planning our biggest and best event to date. Every year, we are excited to see guests stay late into the evening previewing the many future nights of great music, food, and friendship on Waller Creek.
