New Condensation Boilers The series AquaKond Split is a result of innovation in the heating industry, urging for the development of new, high-efficiency, condensation equipment. AquaKond Split system includes a condensation boiler + burner with low NOx emission rate for outdoor installation + indoor blowers. Two ratings are available: 34 and 70. Our engineers designed and developed this project aig to worldclass quality, both for technology and for aesthetics. AquaKond Split: Law-proof Heating AquaKond Split is the ideal solution for heating buildings where stricter regulations on fire prevention apply (workshops, woodworking plants, printing sites, textile and paper manufacturing plants, public and commercial buildings). Why choosing AquaKond Split? NO NEED FOR A HEAT PLANT AquaKond Split does not require any dedicated room for installation. Boilers can be installed outdoor, thus freeing indoor space. 4 STARS - SAVINGS ON MANAGEMENT COSTS Combustion efficiency can reach 109, (4 stars according to the Boiler Efficiency Directive 90/42/ EEC - compliant with 2002/91/CE Directive) and assures consistent fuel savings if compared to traditional, non-condensing systems. SYSTEM MODULARITY Efficiency up to 109 4 Stars P P P P The total heat requirement can be split across multiple units, thereby making the installation convenient and rational: thermal output can be managed on an area basis and new units can be installed when additional requirements arise. Standard I.S.P.E.S.L. Controls I.S.P.E.S.L. CONTROLS Each 70 boiler includes a whole range of safety, protection and control devices, fully compliant with I.S.P.E.S.L. standards. CLEAN COMBUSTION - LOW ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AquaKond Split units feature burners that fully premix air and gas. Moreover, a regulating heat output device is installed. This results in: - Low emissions of carbon monoxide. - Very low emission of nitrogen oxides (5th emission class for NOx according to EN483 Regulations). - Low emission of carbon dioxide as a consequence of highly efficient combustion. EASE OF INSTALLATION You only need to connect the system to a gas supply and to a 230V/1ph/50Hz power supply. The outdoor boiler shall also be hydraulically connected to the indoor blower. The equipment small size eases moving and installing them. Installation work is limited to fix the unit using simple hooking and support systems. For Indoor and Outdoor Installations IPX5D This is a highly versatile system: it can be installed outdoor (protection class IPX5D) as well as indoor or in a dedicated technical space.
Working Principles AquaKond Split is a heating system formed by an outdoor condensation boiler with sealed combustion circuit and one or more water-heated air blowers installed into the room to be heated. Boiler combustion circuit runs entirely outside the heated room and is hermetically sealed. The heater works as a standalone unit. In order to start it up, you only need to connect it to power and gas supplies. Its operation is extremely simple. The boiler, installed outdoor, starts up when it receives a heat request. Warm water circulates through the pump and its piping and reaches the blower, where a highly efficient heat exchanger and high-capacity fans are installed. This allow the environment to be rapidly heated. If the glicole percentage increases to 40, it can reach -22 C (-78 F). This requirement does not apply to models with lower ratings. If vessel capacity is insufficient, an additional vessel should be installed, in compliance with ISPEL regulations. The system must be filled with a mix of water and glicole. The glicole percentage varies according to envisaged outdoor temperatures. The boiler also allows to set anti-freeze protection by means of the remote control or the chronothermostat.

Easy to Install The peculiar design of the hydraulic circuit of boiler and blowers allows installing indoor and outdoor units at different heights and distances. By installing fittings for pipe connection in the upper part of the boiler you can: Install outdoor boiler at a convenient height for maintenance and positioning. Choose a suitable height for installing the blower in the room to be heated. Shorten the distance between outdoor boiler and indoor blower, enhancing performances, reducing pressure drops and increasing water flow rate to the coil. Standard Revolving Bracket

The available functions are the following: Timer Room Thermostat Control Panel Remote Lock and Unlock Signals Check Control of Working Parameters AquaKond e Network Modulation Card The main function of APEN GROUP s advanced modulation card is to provide for ROOM COMPENSATION. This enhanced card allows to reach and maintain a high comfort standard with lower consumption. When ambient temperature approaches the required value, the card varies the rotation speed of burner motor, thereby reducing air flow and gas flow rates. The temperature of the water flowing in the blower decreases, and so does the temperature of delivered air. The boiler can thus be used at its imum output to rapidly reach the room temperature that was set. Then, the card switches to modulating mode, reduces thermal output, and imises combustion efficiency. The ambient is heated with fresher air thanks to a lower _T value between ambient temperature and delivered air temperature. The reduction of air layering in the room also entails a sensible decrease of heat dispersion in the building. Remote control with microprocessor Remote control allows you to control and display working phases and possible faults. It also allows changing setup parameters using the electronic card installed in the unit. KONDENSA.NET software For his own AQUAKOND systems, Apen Group has developed a program for management named Kondensa.net with the objective to permit an easy check of working on, of records of temperatures, of the remote maintenance of the appliances and of the consumptions, eliating any chronothermostats, remote controls or programg clocks. It is sufficient to cable the modulating card, with only two cables, to a computer, at distances up to 1100 meters without need of signal amplifier. In the configuration phase, it is possible to divide in groups/areas (building or departments), the heaters that the user wants to manage at different tig and temperatures. Once the configuration is made, the user disposes of a control panel with a great deal of information. For each defined area, it is possible to monitor the working modes of each boiler, represented by different icons. FIG. 1 For each group, making double click on the clock of the group, it is possible to manage and visualize the working calendar with the different setting: installation OFF heating ON ventilation ON antifreeze function ON 1 FIG. 2 For each day of the week (fig.2) it is possible to set the ON-hour and the OFF-hour, eventual intervals and the desired room temperature. The managing program Kondensa.net has been developed with three safety levels, with access through password: Operator, Technical and Service. Each level is habilitated for defined activities or simply visualisations. This contributes to assure the highest protection of the managing system. 3
