The Show will be conducted in accordance with the Rules, Standards and Definitions contained in the RHS Horticultural Show Handbook 2008 Edition and the 2009 NAFAS Competitions Manual except where varied by this schedule. These handbooks will be available on the Show Secretary s table during the Show. 2. Exhibits in classes 1-39 must have been cultivated by the exhibitor for at least 2 months. The Committee reserves the right to visit any exhibitor s garden before or after the Show. 3. Exhibitors may not enter more than two entries in any class and may not take more than one prize in any class. 4. Only one exhibitor may enter from one garden in any one class. 5. Not applicable for the Spring Show. 6. First prize winning items in any previous Show are not eligible for re-entry in subsequent shows. 7. For the benefit of the viewing public, exhibitors are asked to label plant varieties/cultivars where possible. 8. Any exhibit that does not conform to the Show Rules may be disqualified. 9. Any protest must be in writing and delivered to the Show Secretary by 3.00pm on the day of the Show. The decision of the judges shall be final in respect of the relative merits of exhibits and they have the power to withhold any prizes if they think the exhibits are unworthy. The Show Secretary reserves the right to refer any other points in dispute to the Committee. 10. The Committee will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to property or exhibits. Reasonable care will be taken. 11. Trophies are awarded for one year only and must be returned to the Show Secretary in a clean and undamaged condition by 21st March 2019 2 11

SHOW TIMETABLE Before the Show: Entries should be on the official entry form and be with the Show Secretary, Day Lewis Broad Street, Post Office, or Halfway Garage, Bristol Rd with the entry fees in a sealed envelope no later than 5.00pm on Thursday 22nd March. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Show Secretary at 40p per entry. On Show Day: 8.30 am until 10.30 am: Open for the staging of exhibits. Exhibitors must obtain class cards from the Show Secretary and place these on their exhibits. 10.30am: Hall cleared for judging no exhibitor or public access. 2.30pm: Hall reopens for public viewing. 3.30pm until 4.30pm: Prize money may be collected from the Treasurer. Any prize money not claimed by 4.30pm will be deemed to have been donated to the Society. Prizes are: 1 st - 1.00 2 nd - 75p 3 rd - 50p Points are also allocated on the following basis to determine success for certain Trophies: 1 st 3 points 2 nd 2 points 3 rd 1 point 4.15pm: Presentation of trophies and awards. After Presentation ceremony: Exhibits may be removed. Any exhibit not removed by 5.30pm shall be deemed to have been donated to the Society.
