Aquair Water to Air Heat Exchanger The Aquair Heat Interface Unit (HIU) is unique in its design and versatility and will provide all the benefits that centralised heating systems offer. There is no other product on the market that can replace a warm air heater in a single dwelling, fully utilising the existing warm air ducting, be integrated into a centralised heating system, run in conjunction with an existing wet system with the option of supplying unheated air for cooling purposes during warm weather conditions. Aquair HIU can be used with a vast range of heat sources such as natural gas, LPG or oil condensing boilers, heat pumps, biomass, solid fuel or combined heat and power (CHP) Outputs are calculated using a flow temperature of 80 C. Lower flow temperatures can be used although this will result in a reduced output. The installation of an Aquair linked to a suitable heat source has become an efficient and cost effective solution, especially for installers that don t hold a DAH1 certificate as it means they can replace a warm air heater with a combi boiler and Aquair HIU combination, saving space and giving substantial benefits. Suitable for upflow or downflow the Aquair comes with a wire mesh air filter as standard although this can be upgraded with an electronic filter option. Cleanflow Electronic Filtration Option Polluted air enters unit Wire mesh pre-filter (earthed) High voltage screen Wire mesh pre-filter (earthed) The cleanflow electronic filtration option will provide the system with the added benefit of filtered air within the home. With the heating running at every pass the air will be filtered and 95% of airborne pollutants down to 1 micron can be removed. Particles such as pollen, house dust and cigarette smoke will be eliminated. Polluted air enters unit Polarized glass fibre pads 12
Commonly, it is used to replace an existing warm air unit, where, for example, a gas boiler is the prime heat source. The boiler can be installed to provide hot water and by simply siting the Aquair unit in place of the existing warm air unit, all that is further required is to install a flow and return pipe from the boiler in the same way that a domestic radiator would be installed. In doing this the householder gets the benefits that warm air offers together with a choice of instantaneous or stored hot water depending on the type of boiler installed. If the property has any unheated rooms, additional radiators can be installed accordingly. The result is an installed heating system which is very desirable to the end user and a system which is quick and easy to install and creates little disturbance to the occupier during installation. Cleanflow Electronic Filtration When your air heater is operating on maximum load, all of the air within the dwelling passes across the air filter 6 times per hour. This presents the perfect opportunity to electronically clean the air and remove smaller particles such as pollen, mould and cigarette smoke. The Cleanflow principle is simple and highly effective. It works by polarising the filter media and thereby the particles are attracted to it. Any particles that are not caught by the media have no polarised charge, so will not adhere to soft furnishings or walls and will be caught on subsequent passes. The electronic screen is charged and in turn polarises the filter media. Particles are then attracted to, and captured within the media pads. Cleanflow will remove 95% of particles down to 1 micron.
