EP2 Portable Chiller Variable-Speed Compressor Option
What s different with variable-speed option? Fixed-Speed Compressor Units Variable-Speed Compressor Units Air-Cooled (4-30 tons) Water-Cooled (5-40 tons) Remote Condenser (5-40 tons) 3,500 rpm compressor Hot gas bypass for capacity control Full current start AC motor Athena controller standard PLC controller optional Air-Cooled (10 or 20 tons) Water-Cooled (10 or 20 tons) Remote Condenser (not available) 900 rpm to 7,200 rpm compressor Variable-speed capacity control Part-load soft start Brushless DC motor PLC controller standard Athena controller not available
When to consider the variable-speed option Integral Air-Cooled or Water-Cooled condenser units 3 to 8 ton nominal process load (10-ton unit is used) 3 to 16 ton nominal process load (20-ton unit is used)
Key benefits of the variable-speed option Energy Savings Adjustable Capacity Advanced PLC with Color Touch Screen

Energy Savings
Adjustable Capacity Changes the compressor speed to control temperature Eliminates wasted energy of a fixed speed compressor and hot gas bypass for capacity control Chiller virtually changes size No more need for multiple compressor size chillers for different size cooling loads.
Advanced PLC with Color Touch Screen Constantly monitors load and adjusts compressor speed for peak efficiency Access to over 150 parameters for complete monitoring and control Large 7 inch color touch screen display for clear display and easy operation

ESTW Adiabatic Fluid Cooler New Adiabatic Water Control System
New ESTW Adiabatic Water Control System New Hardware Ambient air temperature sensor Ambient air humidity sensor Adiabatic water flow meter Adiabatic water system drain-down solenoid Variable-flow modulating valve instead of solenoid valve for adiabatic water High-efficiency soaker hose water distribution system versus pipe with holes
New ESTW Adiabatic Water Control System
New ESTW Adiabatic Water Control System New Control Features Adiabatic controller calculates optimal adiabatic system flow for peak efficiency, up to 70% reduction in water use versus our original system User can input cost of electrical power and water and the controller will use adaptive control technology to minimizing operating cost by choosing the perfect mix of fan speed and adiabatic system water flow User can set the adiabatic system to favor water savings over total operating cost when water conservation is the main concern User can program the adiabatic water system drain down solenoid to drain after a fixed amount of time of non-use or can program it to drain at a certain ambient air temperature to provide protection from adiabatic system freezing
