Questions regarding the project should be directed to Colleen Donohoe, Public Art manager at Scottsdale Public Art, at ColleenD@ScottsdaleArts.org. Community participation/engagement and interactive artworks are highly preferred. Consider how your proposal may relate to the idea of water conservation or other issues of sustainability. The use of solar power is encouraged. Light-based projects, video or suspended installations may use the surrounding infrastructure and architecture. Consider how your proposal helps activate the Scottsdale Waterfront by drawing people to the canal banks. Remember the suggested themes: water, art, light and human interaction; sustainable sources of water for the desert environment; laws of nature; and the intersection of contemporary art and human connection to the natural Sonoran Desert environment. 7 Spiraling Droplets by Aphidoidea.
