Products for Safety, Compliance, and Efficiency from

Let s start with regulatory compliance by one of those big government agencies known as the Federal Communications Commission. On a random check of manufacturers in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi, we found most were using two-way radios as part of their operations and plant safety program. That s the good news. The not so good news is that many were totally ignorant of FCC Rules and Regulations. That can be a very costly mistake! As a first step, we will check to see if you have a valid FCC license, if it s current, and assist you in getting legal before the guy from the government pays a visit on you. Illegal and/or unlicensed operation of two-way radios is an issue that you definitely want to avoid(1). We will help you get legal, if required; at no charge. It s a part of what we do for those we serve! (1) See: http://falconinfo.blogspot.com/2008/12/fcc-enforcement-information.html

Speaking of Compliance, how about OHSAS 180001, a British standard being enforced in the USA? Would you like to know how it came about and how you can provide a practical and affordable solution? Read on! Basically the idea is that plant workers should have the ability to quickly summon assistance with required. Seems like a good idea, but the origins of this regulatory standard has a somewhat sinister background as explained by Alabama Congressional Representative, Martha Roby. Take a few moments to review her comments. See http://info4u.us/robycomplaint.pdf. It WILL be worth your time! The good news is that we have a product that can provide compliance at reasonable cost that can really help you. It s called an EvacAll. We ll be telling you more about it shortly.

How do you notify employees when there is chemical spill, fire, gas leak, tornado, or other life threatening event? OHSA standard 20 CFR 19 10 )165(b) says you better have a quick and efficient way of notifying everyone in the plant area in the event of a life threatening hazard! At the touch of a button, we can provide notification through your plant PA system, through a wireless PA system (standalone or as a supplement to a wired PA System, over two way radios used in and around the plant, and even to cell phones as a text message, anywhere in the world! We can even customize the alert message with your choice of voice, siren sound, or musical alert (The Theme from the movie Rocky is #1 choice) We will be telling you more about the EvacAll and VoiceTXTR systems shortly.

Picture This! One day, one of your plant workers is told by his doctor that he has significant hearing loss, most likely caused by lack of protection from high noise levels in your plant. Guess who is going to be invited to go to court. Guess who is going to lose! It all goes back to 29 CFR 1904 and in particular 1904.10 and 29 CFR 1910. The bottom line is simple. If you have people working in areas where the noise level exceeds 85 db, and they are not equipped with hearing protection, the chance are good that you are at risk of being cited for OSHA regulations, Workman s Compensation claims, or personal injury lawsuits as a result of negligence! We ve got a better idea Look at the alternatives available for providing efficient and affordable hearing. We ll be telling you more shortly!

A Good Plant Communications System is the beginning point for Safety, Compliance, and Efficiency! We ve got a very short little movie that will tell you about our recommended choice for personal radios at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kraitdr0fq We have both display and non-display models with both analog and DMR digital operating modes. The ZN Series radio are comparable to the Motorola CP200d and the Hytera PD502/562 series, affordable priced at $349 for the non-display model and $399 for the display model. Analog only models are available for as little as $189! The BIG difference is our ZN radios have higher IP ratings for dust and water protection, the highest MIL-SPEC rating (810G), TWICE the audio power, and they are covered by a three year next day EXCHANGE warranty! That means ZERO cost maintenance for three full years! Additional information is available at info4u.us/safetalkers.pdf. Check them out! You ll be glad you did!

Sometimes, a plant may be larger than the direct coverage area of 2-way radios. Not to worry! The easy & affordable solution is a "Repeater". These devices are used to extend the range of portable radios and/or to link facilities normally beyond the operating range of local area radios. See info4u.us/repeaters.pdf for more information.

Portable radios are great out in the plant, but for desk workers, the better solution is the DeskTalker! You don t have to pickup anything. There are no batteries to replace, and the DeskTalker is not prone to be borrowed. For more information, see info4u.us/desktalker.pdf.

TouchCall provides a way for you to communicate with vendors and customers out the plant interior. This can come in very handy for communicating with delivery truck drivers, visitors, and on the parking lot for enhanced employee safety. Installation is easy, since all TouchCall units can operate for up to one year from a handful of low cost replaceable alkaline batteries. One model not only lets you talk to visitors, but can provide radio controlled remote gate activation. Found out more at info4u.us/touchcall.pdf.

When your key personnel are equipped with personal 2-way radios, you can begin the development of a total plant safety system, starting with CallAlert Emergency Alert stations for compliance with OHSAS 180001. Siemens Energy of Richland, MS has no problems with safety inspections. By placing Emergency Alert Stations throughout the plant, they have the ability to respond to a plant emergency within an average time of 35 SECONDS! Any worker can get help in a hurry by simply pushing a button! A flashing strobe provides a visual indication of the location while a recorded message is broadcast to all 2-way radios within the plant! At a cost of under $500 each, equipping the entire plant was efficient and affordable with installation performed by plant maintenance personnel. Siemens also provided a means of quickly finding an emergency call station by painting a ten foot high Blue stripe at each CallAlert location (they also use a red stripe to quickly determine the location of a fire extinguisher). This is a plan that works for Siemens, and it can work for you! Additional information is available at info4u.us/callalert.pdf.

Getting notified by 2-way radio in time of need can extend beyond the plant manufacturing area. For example, what do you do for a receptionist who is all alone when a Disruptive Person appears? We have a simple and affordable solution. It s called a HelpAlert. Over a decade ago, we developed an emergency wireless call button system that broadcasts custom recorded messages at the touch of a button. Originally used in courtrooms, then in school offices and more recently in high risk business locations, this system is ideally suited for use in industrial plant reception areas. The standard HelpAlert (lower left) can be placed on or under a desk. At $349. it is great for small plants with a single person in the reception area. An optional model can serve as a hub for up to 4 personal call buttons (middle left) up to 100 feet away from the master unit. Additional information on all HelpAlert models is available at info4u.us/helpalert-ha.pdf.

PLANT EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION PRODUCTS Falcon Wireless offers two exclusive products especially designed to notify plant workers quickly, efficiently, and affordably for safety in times of emergency and compliance with OHSA standard 20 CFR 19 10 )165(b). The emergency can be environmental (chemical spills, gas leaks, etc.), dealing with disruptive people (from angry customers, employees, parents, or robbers), or weather related (hurricanes, tornados, and everything else in between). EvacAll is used to supplement an existing wired PA system by providing access to the PA system from VHF or UHF radios used for industrial plant operations. EvacAll can also be use to inexpensively provide installations in areas where wiring is not practical. See info4u.us/evacall.pdf for more information..

VoiceTXTR. is our second product used for alerting people who may not have two-way radios, or be within range of a PA system or EvacAll unit. VoiceTXTR provides that extra level of notification to provide compliance with OHSA standard 20 CFR 19 10 )165(b) plus providing information to off premises management. Like all of our products, there are no monthly fees or long term contracts. Additional information is available at info4u.us/voicetxtr.pdf.

If you have people working where the noise level exceeds 85 db and you are not providing hearing protection, you could find yourself in a world of hurt as a result of the hurt that shouldn't happen! You have many choices ranging from earplugs to headsets, but only ONE that gives you situational awareness and hearing protection. Additional information available at info4u.us/sensear. The SmartGroup headset product is a short range wireless headset system designed to provide group tours of noisy plants or for co-workers in high noise level locations such as data centres or HVAC equipment rooms. More information is available at http://sensear.com/products/smartgroup-headsets. You'll also find some interesting videos as well. There is also an interesting data center case study at info4u.us/datacenter.pdf.
