GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Prior to drilling into walls, check there are no hidden electrical wires, cables or water supply pipes with the aid of an electronic detector. Always wear protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection whilst using power tools.

HOW TO INSTALL BEFORE YOU START This product must be connected to the water supply in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999, and also to comply with UK Building Regulations. If you are in any doubt about these requirements, contact a qualified plumber, your local Water Company or the Water Regulations Advisory Service (WRAS). a. Identify all components and check pack contents. b. TURN OFF WATER MAINS SUPPLY. The mains stopcock is usually situated where the supply enters the building. c. It is also recommended that the water heating arrangements are turned off. d. Isolate the hot and cold supply pipes and drain both water systems. It is recommended to ensure complete drainage, that all taps are open. There is no need to drain the heating system. FITTING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Before installation flush out pipes to remove any debris as this can affect the valve-seating washer, ensure to turn off water supply following flushing of pipes and prior to installation. 2. Place the Rubber Washer(6) over the inlet legs and then place inlet legs the holes in the unit, if the inlet legs are angled and connect from the rear, ensure that you position them to angle inwards, as shown above Left Inlet Leg(4) place left and Right Inlet Leg(5) place right. 3. Loosely fit the Washer(6) and Fixing Nut(7) to the Inlet legs. 4. Fit the Filter Washer(3) into connecting nuts of the mixer. 5. Fit Tap Body(1) to Inlet Legs, aligning the Inlet legs, so that they allow the connecting nut to screw on. 6. When connected tighten connecting nut, taking care not to damage surface finish. 7. After tightening the connecting nut, the Fixing Nut(7) can now be tightened until the mixer is secured. Next fit the Shower Hose (9) to the Hose Connector(2) of the mixer. 8. Connect the water supply pipes to the mixer, if using a washer, do not use an old washer if it is damaged or in poor condition. 9. Fix the Wall Bracket(8) to the wall at the required height ensuring the handset(10) will fit correctly into the Wall Bracket(8). 10. Turn on the water supply and re-fill the system. Check immediately for leaks. It is always advisable at this stage to flush out the system. To do this, open both valves fully and allow water to flow for approximately 1 minute. This will remove any foreign matter within the tap body.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS The valve is suitable for all water heating systems provided it is installed correctly by a competent and qualified installer. OPERATING SPECIFICATIONS WATER SUPPLY TEMPERATURE: Hot Water Maximum: 70 C Recommended 60-65 C Cold Water Minimum: 5 C Higher than maximum required mixed temperature. Advisable 65 C Minimum difference between hot and mixed temperature is 10 C OPERATING PRESSURE Minimum: 1.0 Bar Maximum: 5.0 Bar Recommended 1.5 Bar Maximum unbalanced pressure Ratio 5:1 Hot and Cold Operating pressure should be kept as balanced as possible in order to maintain maximum efficiency. When the supply pressure is higher than a 5 Bar a pressure reducing valve should be fitted before the shower valve. TENCHNICAL DATA The mixer is provided with and oulet at base of the mixer. PLUMBING RECOMMENDATIONS An independent hot and cold water supply is required for the shower system. Large runs of pipe work will cause frictional loss of pressure. The recommended pipe work from both cylinder and water tank should be 22mm minimum for lowpressure system. If more than one shower valve is installed the minimum feed from tank and cylinder should be 28mm.(Ensure adequate supply of both hot and cold water can be maintained).
TEMPERATURE SETTING (To be done only when essential) This mixer has been set in the factory under balanced pressures at 38 C. Where conditions are different from the above the temperature of the mixed water may vary from setting. You can adjust the calibration of the mixer to suit individual requirements. 1. The Valve is set to a maximum 38 C(red button stop position) this can be change if requrired using a thermometer to the check the water flow of the valve. 2. If this temperautre is not hot enough, you are able to re-set the temperature. 3. Turn the handle to the red button stop. 4. Remove Handle Cap, then the Handle Screw, then the Handle. 5. Turn the valve until the temperature is at the required level. Test again using a thermometer. 6. When this is temperature is reached re-fit the components, so that the red button stops at your new set temperature. Valve Thermostatic Stop Handle Handle Screw Handle Cap CLEANING FILTER Through years of use impurities and lime scale could restrict flow of water through the filters of the cartridge. To clean the filter shut off water supply to both inlets. Unscrew mixer and clean filters.
AFTER CARE Your fitting has a high quality finish and should be treated with care to preserve the visible surfaces. All surfaces will wear if not cleaned correctly. The only safe way to clean your fitting is to wipe with a soft damp cloth using clean soapy water. Stains can be removed using a little washing up liquid. Do not use any other cleaning materials (even non-scratch type) as these will affect the visible surface. Do not use abrasive cloths or wire cleaners. If the cloth used to clean the tap has previously been used with a cleaner that contains bleach, take special care to thoroughly rinse the cloth with clean water before use.
