Motor and Blower Preparation Module HK HV to HE onversion (2/10) This document will show you step by step instructions on converting a HV fancoil with a multi-speed motor to the HE style with a variable speed motor. The HE ontrol Board is programmed with multiple speeds and air flows controlled by the thermostat and dip set ranges for each style of blower. The ontrol Board converts the supplied single phase power of 100v-240v and converts the power to 3 phase motor and sends 3 phase power to the motor. The Heavy Duty 3 Phase Motor provides years of reliable service, as the heavy duty construction and power limiting function of the EP controller minimizes motor stress and wear. The new inverter drive technology offered by the EP Motor and ontroller reduces power consumption by up to 70%, with an average overall yearly reduction of 50% over standard PS motors. oise related to excess power input is eliminated. Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous operation. 3. Disconnect electrical power from the circuit board. 4. Disconnect motor connection and all thermostat wires, condensing unit, freeze stat, circulator, zone valve etc. It is not necessary to remove wires completely from the fan coil, it may be necessary to bring the wires into the new HE Electrical box before sliding the electrical box into place. 5. Remove existing HV ircuit Board Electrical box. 6. Remove mounted motor and blower. 7. arefully remove center plate trying not to damage the insulation lining in the unit. Depending on the clearance on the outside of the fan coil, it may be easier to cut the screws from inside, depending on the clearances around the unit.
