Energy Efficiency Rebates
Electric Water Heaters* Domestic Water Heaters Rebate $100 Must have a lifetime warranty and be at least 40 gallons. Geothermal Direct Exchange Water Heater Rebate up to $200 Must be rated as super efficient (water heating unit that utilizes direct exchange from a ground source or air source heat pump) and must have a lifetime warranty. Heat Pump Water Heaters (air to water) Rebate up to $370 Residential models must be Energy Star certified. All commercial models qualify. Energy Audits Low Income Weatherization** DMEA partners with the Colorado Energy Office to provide energy audits and weatherization measures for qualified low-income members. Energy Audits** The DMEA Energy Services team is qualified and available to perform residential energy audits. If you are concerned about your energy use, please contact our Energy Services department. They will start by asking a few questions to trouble shoot your home over the phone. If necessary, they can schedule a visit to your house to perform an energy audit. Energy Star Appliances* Refrigerators & Freezers Rebate $40 Must be Energy Star certified, must be 7.75 cubic feet or greater. Refrigerator or Freezer Recycling Rebate $60 Proper disposal and evacuation must be performed by an authorized business or technician. A signed disposal statement and proof must accompany the rebate request. Dishwasher Rebate $30 Must be Energy Star certified. Clothes Washer Rebate $40 Must be Energy Star certified. Split System Air Conditioners Rebate $100 per unit Split system Energy Star certified air conditioners from 2 tons to less than 3 tons. Rebate $150 per unit Split system Energy Star certified air conditioners that are 3 tons and greater. Requires a SEER of 14.5 or greater and an EER rating of 12 or greater. *All rebate requests must be submitted to DMEA within 180 days of purchase. All rebate requests must include valid proof of purchase (with make and model for qualification verification) and completed rebate forms. DMEA reserves the right to verify installation by audit. Must be a current DMEA member to qualify.
Commercial Rebates DMEA offers a wide variety of commercial energy efficiency programs and incentives. Standard rebates are listed below: 1. Commercial Lighting 2. Street & Parking Lot Lighting 3. Variable Frequency Drive Retrofits If you are working on a commercial project that is outside of the items listed above, please contact us to see if we can help you with a custom project. Heat Pumps* Central Air Source Heat Pumps Non-electric Backup... $150 per ton Electric Resistance Backup... $125 per ton Energy Star 2 tons...$100 additional Energy Star 3 tons and larger...$150 additional Terminal Units... $85 per unit Central Air Source Heat Pumps 3 tons and larger must have a SEER of 14.5 or greater and an EER of 12 or greater. Geothermal Heat Pumps Any Model... $200 per ton Energy Star 2 tons...$100 additional Energy Star 3 tons and larger...$150 additional Additional Energy Star rebate applies only to systems that are 2 tons or greater. An EER of 16.1 or greater and/or COP of 3.5 or greater is required for all closed loop systems. All geothermal rebates are subject to on-site verification. LED Lighting Residential LED Lights Rebate up to $10 Must be a minimum of 300 lumens, rebate not to exceed 50% of the cost of the bulb, limit of 50 bulbs per member annually. Residential LED Fixtures Rebate up to $10 Minimum of 300 lumens per fixture, not to exceed 50% of fixture cost.
