Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this instruction manual must be supplied with it. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely and proper accident prevention measures must always be used. No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these instructions or any other improper use or mishandling. Do not use this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way, or if the supply cord is damaged. Intended Use Indoor domestic use only: this appliance is intended for indoor domestic use only. Do not use it outdoors. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats. Intended Purpose: Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose, and only use it as described in this manual Accessories: Do not use any accessories with the appliance that are not supplied or specifically recommended. When using electric appliances always observe safety regulations where applicable to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Supply Cord and Plug Always unplug from mains supply when not in use. Do not abuse or damage the power cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Do not let the supply cord touch hot surfaces. When cleaning or putting the appliance away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) Earth Safety This appliance must be earthed. CAUTION: The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use. Do not operate it uncovered and take proper precautions to prevent the risk of burns, fires or other damage to persons or property. When discharging pressure, make sure to keep your hands and face clear from the air exit hole of the pressure discharge valve. WARNING: Wear an oven glove when releasing the valve to prevent burns from hot steam escaping. Ventilation Allow a space of at least 15cm around the exterior of the appliance to ensure adequate ventilation. Never cover or obstruct any ventilation opening. CAUTION: Pressure Do not open the container until the pressure has decreased sufficiently. Do not block the steam vent hole Never twist the inner steel ring (inside the lid) with your hands or other tools. If the steel ring slips off its place, stop using the cooker until a replacement has been fitted. Never attempt to uncover the cooker when the floating valve is floating. Never apply any weight on the pressure discharge valve or replace it with other materials Make sure nothing is obstructing the lid clamping position. Regularly check the steam escape ducts in the pressure regulator to ensure they are not blocked. Never damage the sealant washer or replace it with another rubber washer or tension washer. Large amount of steam discharging from the periphery during operation is a sign that something is wrong with the appliance. If you wish to start cooking at a later time press Timer once for every half hour required (Max. 9hours) the timer indicator light will turn on. 8. Select the required program menu button, for example rice. The indicator light will illuminate and the display will show 0010 the pre-set cooking (pressure holding) time for rice is 10min. If these times do not suit your cooking requirements you can adjust the cooking times by pressing the relevant menu button repeatedly until the required time is shown. The second and third columns in the table show the maximum and minimum cooking times programmed for each button. Menu Button Pre-set Cooking (pressure holding) Times Suggested Cooking Time (min) Maximum Cooking Time (min) Rice 10 15 10 Vegetables 15 15 1 Chicken 20 60 20 Beef 35 50 35 Fish 5 5 15 Soup 30 90 30 Casserole / Stew 35 90 30 Minimum Cooking Time (min) For example: If you want to cook soup, press the soup button and the green digits will display 30. The Warm / Cancel indicator flashes if the inside pressure is high; it will stop flashing but remains on if the pressure inside is low. 10. To stop the Keep Warm cycle and serve the food, press the Warm / Cancel button. Pressing this button when there is no cooking function selected will activate the Keep Warm cycle. To cancel the cycle press the Warm / Cancel button again. 11. Turn the pressure discharge valve to the exhaust (vent) position to release the steam and wait until the floating valve has dropped down (Fig. 10-a & 10-b) Phone: 0508 776 546 - Mon-Fri 8:30am 4.30pm Page 10

WARNING: Make sure to wear oven mitts when releasing the valve to prevent burns or injury from the hot steam. IMPORTANT NOTES: When cooking soup or other liquid foods, do not release the steam straight after the Warm / Cancel indicator light starts flashing. Let the steam dissipate naturally until the floating valve has dropped down and it no longer floats, otherwise the food may splatter out with steam. It is recommended to discharge the steam when the indicator light is on but no longer flashing as the pressure is much lower at this time. 12. Turn the power off at the wall socket and remove the plug. 13. Take the lid off: hold and loosen the handle by turning it clockwise until the click is heard, then remove the lid. (Fig. 1 & 2) 14. The food is now ready to serve, Use wooden or plastic utensils when removing the food to avoid scratching the cooking surface of the bowl. Phone: 0508 776 546 - Mon-Fri 8:30am 4.30pm Page 11
