LED Diagnostics* The Q400 Omni Control Board provides the servicing technician a large amount of troubleshooting information through LED patterns on the board. It is normal to see the Power LED lit. The Gate Locked LED will be lit when the gate is fully open or fully closed (based on limit switch settings).
Elite LED Diagnostics P a g e 2 Overload LED On & Power LED Off Short circuit at terminals 8 and 10. Short circuit at any of the loop detectors in the board. Short circuit in the control board. Remove short circuit condition at terminals. Remove the defective loop detector. Send board for repair or replace with new board. Overload LED On & Power LED On Excessive current draw at terminal 10. Reduce accessories at terminal 10. Devices can include Over-voltage at the 120 VAC line input. Verify electrical power.
Elite LED Diagnostics P a g e 3 One limit switch is faulty (rapid flashing). Motor thermal fuse has popped-out (slowly flashing). System On LED Flashing Test the limit switches and wire connections. Reset the motor. OR Reverse Sensor LED On OR Alarm Sensor LED On Gate has encountered an obstruction during travel. Reverse sensor is extra sensitive. Remove obstruction and ensure gate path is clear. Press Stop button on control board and then either Open or Close button to cycle gate. Turn the reverse sensor counter clockwise a little more and retest.
Elite LED Diagnostics P a g e 4 There is a command hold active. Command Processed LED On This is a normal response for the operator. It does not necessarily represent a problem. Timer LED Flashing & Command Processed Flashing There is a command holding the gate open. Check inputs for command.
Elite LED Diagnostics P a g e 5 And/Or Loop detector needs to be reset. ANY Loop LED On & No Vehicle in proximity to gate Disruption in loop detector, harness, or inground wire. Frequency problems. Sensitivity problems Varies depending on detector brand. Varies depending on detector style. See onboard (plug-in) style or harness style detector troubleshooting sheet. Change the detector frequency process varies depending on detector brand. Reduce detector sensitivity process varies depending on detector brand.
Elite LED Diagnostics P a g e 6 Or Fire Dept. / Strike Open / Radio Receiver LED On 1. Input from device connected at terminals 7 & 8. Reset and test device. Devices often include fire strobes, Knox Fire Dept.: Short across terminals 7 & 8 switches, or audible emergency device (such as an SOS). 2. Remove any short found on wires connected at terminals 7 & 8. 1. Input from device connected at terminals 9 & 10. Reset and test device.
