CONSUMER GUIDELINES It is recommended to keep the number of bends in the pipelines to a minimum and make it travel straight & vertical as far as possible. Excess bends reduce the pressure of water. All the supply lines must have vent pipes. These vent pipes help in removing air-locking in the water supply to give a smooth flow of water from the fittings. Place the outlet point in the overhead tank at least 2.5m above the ground level of the tank. This prevents the flow of dirt particles, sand, etc. along with water supply. It is suggested that the overhead tank must be cleaned at regular interval to avoid deposition of dirt particles. Clean the Aerators of the bath fittings at regular interval for a perfect foam flow of water. After installation and before actual usage, cover the fittings with cloth/ polythene to protect them from stains/scratches/ other damage. The fittings should be cleaned regularly by soft cloth with mild soap or chalk powder to remove scaling/ stains. Do not use hard detergent or media containing abrasives or acid, as it will damage the surface finish of the fittings. The recommended centre to centre distance between hot and cold inlet for all wall mixers is 165mm. 'Somany' bath fittings should be purchased from company's authorized dealers only. Somany Ceramics Ltd. offers a warranty for a period of 10 years (from the date of purchase) against any manufacturing defect. For Electrical & PVC item & parts warranty 1 year.
