06 Designed to Protect, Built to Last is designed for life-in-field providing outstanding fire and blast capability in the harshest environments Fire & Blast wall systems are the product of years of investment and development in material chemistry, manufacturing processes, CAD and modelling capability, in-house and external testing to create a bespoke solution for harsh and challenging environments. The product started life as the ContraFlame MS400 underdeck system which provides significant weight savings coupled with impressive insulation and fire performance. zero welding and provides for a simple mechanical installation. As a market-leader for robust passive fire protection, is tested to outperform other insulation materials with regard to weather protection and fire & blast performance. In addition to fire and blast, materials provide resistance against LNG spill and impact damage and all environmental conditions. The system has since been tested for a range of blast overpressures as a preformed panel arrangement which require Lightweight Composite Fire & Blast Walls
07 Certifications systems have been subjected to a number of fire and weathering tests for use on offshore structures Fireproofing Hydrocarbon pool and jet fire compatible systems systems have undergone a range of fire tests for vertical partitions and jet fire barriers: + + IMO 2010 FTP Code Part 3 - IMO Resolution MSC 307(88), under a hydrocarbon HC fire curve according to EN 1363-2:1999. + + ISO 22899-1:2009 - Determination Of Resistance To Jet Fires Of Passive Fire Protection Materials. + + The ContraFlame MS400 foam (at the panel core) has also passed HHF jet fire scenarios for 60-minutes duration. + + ISO 20340 - Accelerated Ageing and Weathering of the D2004 laminate system which meets the performance requirements of NORSOK M501 edition 6th Feb 2012 system one. Weatherproofing Tested in extreme weather conditions In addition, the top-skin D2004 has been tested to ensure UV resistance in harsh weather environments in accordance with ISO 4892-2:2013: + + The test duration was 2,555 hours which equals to 5GJ/m 2 total radiant energy. + + ISO 4892-2 specifies the methods for exposing specimens to xenon-arc light in the presence of moisture to reproduce the weathering effects (temperature, humidity and/or wetting) that occur when materials are exposed outdoors to sunlight. This specification is designed for polymer materials although xenon arc exposures for paints and varnishes are described in ISO 11341 which uses the same 102/18 test cycle. 09 Technical Specification is sold as a technical weight saving solution, with full technical support available Each project is different when it comes to blast load calculations depending on space, congestion, critical equipment, fire protection and wind loading. Advanced Insulation have a dedicated team to specify materials, provide CAD and FEA analysis and provide structural arrangement support. can be easily adapted to suit the everchanging environments and challenges. The system comprises a suite of panels with optimised thickness and edge support tailored for a range of blast overpressures. This ensures the system space envelope and weight is optimised to be much less than conventional metal systems. It is designed using FEM analyses based on material properties confirmed during rigorous blast tests carried out on full scale test panels. 13 Back-face after 2 hours exposure to jet fire Fire Performance can withstand both hydrocarbon jet and pool fire scenarios, from either side of the structure Extensive testing to ensure efficiency Unlike a steel blastwall, which requires PFP to be applied once in situ, the fire and blast wall provides both J120 and H120 protection in a prefabricated panel from either side. The back-face temperature rise for both tests was extremely low at <100 C with the unexposed side showing no fire damage after 120 minutes duration. Up to 120 Minutes Hydrocarbon jet fire protection Up to 120 Minutes Hydrocarbon pool fire protection The system has third party certification from DNV and BV. 14 Additional Testing Fire & Blast walls are designed to support weight reduction for offshore projects and ease of installation The system comprises of the same composite materials as Advanced Insulation s ContraFlame MS400 brand of passive fire protection. The D2004 laminate system has a long track record of use on risers, underdecks and as a moulded product which is subject to ice build up, wave slam and extreme elements. The D2004 laminate system is also used in ContraTherm C55 subsea insulation which can be installed for use at high temperatures and pressures on the sea floor to 3000m below sea level. Accelerated age tests of the laminate ensure prolonged life in marine, saline environments. The painted and unpainted test pieces were subject to a range of cyclic ageing tests to evaluate the performance before and after ageing. ContraFlame MS400 lightweight phenolic foam provides a base for the panel, which has been extensively tested for thermal properties, LNG spill and fire capabilities. Weatherproof Proven coating in extreme weather conditions Corrosion Resistant Composite materials requires no maintenance ISO 20340 Accelerated age test samples after cyclic on the D2004 Lightweight Composite Fire & Blast Walls
