This elegant 19th Century townhouse offers a number of rooms for exclusive hire, ideal for a variety of occasions whether a meeting or conference, top quality dining or a special celebration. 12 Austin Friars London EC2N 2HE Location Moorgate Finsbury Circus From Bank Station, approximately five minutes. Take the Threadneedle Street, exit two, from Bank tube station and head east. Take the second left onto Old Broad Street, followed by the first left into Austin Friars. Walk to the T-junction at the end and the Hall is diagonally opposite on the right. From Liverpool Street Station, approximately six minutes. From Liverpool Street tube station take the Old Broad Street exit and head south. Cross over Wormwood Street (the main A1211), then take the second right into Pinners Passage (opposite Tower 42) which leads into Austin Friars, the Hall is the second building on the right. From Moorgate Station, approximately seven minutes. Exit Moorgate tube station onto Moorfields, heading north, and take the first right into Moor Place. Turn right into Moorgate. Take the second left onto London Wall and then the second right into Throgmorton Avenue. Austin Friars is the first on the left and the Hall is 50 metres along, on the left. Princes Street London City Airport is 20 minutes from Furniture Makers Hall by taxi. Conferences and Meetings Furniture Makers Hall provides an excellent setting for meetings or conferences for up to 70 delegates, or for smaller business occasions that require a discreet environment. We offer a choice of three rooms of varying sizes, suitable for boardroom and theatre style events. The largest meeting room is the Maple Suite which can comfortably accommodate up to 70 guests for a meeting depending on the layout of the room, which can be divided into two areas with sound-proofed panels. There are also two other bright and elegant meeting rooms on the ground and first floors, which are ideal for boardroom style meetings. Workshops and Roadshows The room configurations at Furniture Makers Hall make it well suited for smaller business events such as presentations, roadshows, training and workshops. The Maple Suite can be set up for training as an open U for 50 delegates and full AV facilities are available. Alternatively the two other smaller meeting rooms on the ground and first floors are perfect for small roadshows and client presentations for up to 25 people seated theatre style.
Dining and Celebrations Whether your special occasion is a private party or a corporate function, Furniture Makers Hall has the appeal of an exclusive private residence combined with an excellent City location. Two of the rooms offer the convenience of ground floor access, or there is a first floor room ideal for 16 dining guests with a charming view of the nearby Dutch Church. The largest event space can accommodate up to 100 guests and is suitable for receptions, lunches and dinners. The two smaller rooms have traditional features and high quality furnishings, making them ideal for smaller dining events. Our catering team offers an exceptional range of menus combined with superb service, from champagne receptions and classic dining to parties with canapés and finger foods. Special menus can easily be made to order.
Rooms and Capacities Furniture Makers Hall has a choice of three rooms for hire on an exclusive basis. The Maple Suite on the ground floor provides a practical, flexible space that can easily be divided into two rooms if desired. History The Furniture Makers Company is one of the modern Livery Companies, embracing every aspect of the industry, including designers, manufacturers and retailers, not to mention academics and museum curators. Founded by eminent members of the British furniture industry, the Company not only promotes excellence, but offers support for training and sustainability in the environment while its charitable arm provides welfare for the industry s needy. In 1958 the Company created its Guild Mark Scheme, marking and stamping for posterity British made furniture which attains excellence in craftsmanship, materials, functional purpose and design.
