Bring the fold over to the center of the cover, creating inside and outside folds. 4. Brings outside edge over top of first folds to center of cover. 5. Repeats folds for other half of cover. 6. Fold over approx. 12 inches at each end of the cover for even ends. 7. With assistance, begins to roll and compress one end of the cover toward the opposite end. 8. Secures roll with bands, straps, or cords. 9. Groups furniture/materials together. 10. Places roll atop objects and unrolls. 11. Stands at one end of cover, grasps edges, one in each hand. 12. Opens cover by quickly snapping arms up and out, spreading cover over objects. 13. Opens other end of cover to complete the deployment. 14. Tucks bottom edge of cover to protect object. Roll the edges over the poles, continues rolling toward the middle of cover. 4. Leaves approximately 3 feet between rolls to create channel. 5. Turn cover over, keeping folds in place. 6. Places chute in a position to collect and channel water. 7. Places opposite end out door or window. OR Chute WITHOUT Pike Poles 1. Opens and lays cover out flat. 2. Roll the edges toward the middle of cover. 3. Leaves approximately 3 feet between rolls to create channel. 4. Flips cover/chute over to hold rolls in place. 5. Minimum PPE: Work Gloves 1. Lays cover out flat for folding. 2. Rolls 2 opposing sides inward approximately 3 feet toward center of cover. 3. Folds the corners of the unrolled ends, at a 90 degree angle on top of the cover. 4. Beginning at the outermost point, roll the folded ends toward the center to edge of flaps. 5. Uses TIC or heat detector, or b. watch, listen, or feels to detect, or c. follows burn or smoke patterns 3. Removes or verbalizes removal of structural materials to expose hidden fire. 4. Protects potential areas of origin and evidence for fire investigation. 5. Performs or verbalizes extinguishment methods. 6. Notes use of minimal water to keep damage to minimum. 7. Ensures complete extinguishment. 8. Removes or verbalizes removal of stuffed materials, such as sofa's, from the structure. 9. Verbalizes care to be taken in removing charred material for potential evidence in cause. 10. Report to officer completion of task. Connects light to power, illuminates and adjusts light direction as to not interfere with firefighters vision. 7. Turns off generator power source. 8. Verbalizes that equipment must cool before being placed in proper storage for later use. 9. Returns cords and equipment to proper storage. Minimum PPE: Full PPE w/o SCBA C 1. Dons appropriate PPE. 2. Mount apparatus using handrails and steps. 3. Fastens safety belt. 4. Candidate dons hearing protection, if apparatus so equipped. 5. Candidate verbalizes importance to remain seated and belted while vehicle in motion. 6. When vehicle comes to a complete stop, unfasten seatbelt and prepare to dismount. 7. Dismounts vehicle using handrails and steps. Candidate is assigned to set up a highway work area and use traffic control devices 8. Dons reflective traffic vest. 9. Candidate retrieves traffic cones and/or other appropriate scene control devices. 10. Sets up traffic cones or other devices appropriate to assignment. 11. Defines work area with control devices. 12. Performs task as directed to complete the assignment. 13. Follows appropriate procedures for highway incidents. 14. Removes traffic devices and places in proper storage for use.
