MACHINE PERFORMANCE AND CAPACITY The Series 80 washing machine with a two tier wash has been set up to wash a total of over 2000 M2, M1, MB1 and a selection of Tecniplast and LabProducts IVC cages per week. With the option of washing a number of water bottles as well if required. Average cycle time, including loading and unloading, is 6 minutes. Hence there can be ten cycles per hour, sixty in an average six-hour working day and three hundred in a five-day working week. Example of Cage Washing Capacity Type of Cage Dimensions (L x W x H mm) Number of cages on two levels Number of cages washed per hour Number of cages washed per day Number of cages washed per week WorldCage 500 OneCage 2100 340 x190 x 131 370x480 x200 24 8 240 80 1440 480 7200 2400 There would be some room within the cabinet to wash cage lids at the same time as the cages, but it may be necessary to reduce the number of cages washed occasionally so that more lids can be washed. For bottles, an optional bottle basket is needed to wash them properly.
CONSUMABLES Detergent usage is very low and Newsmith Stainless Ltd would be pleased to supply suitable detergent. The cleaning attack is superior, due to the special design of rotating wash arms, which attack and search out all dirt and engrained products. We would advise using 2012 Utex neutral detergent in the cage washer. This reduces any risk of damage to any type of plastic cages over prolonged periods of use. It contains a chelating agent to reduce the build up of scale without the need for the use of acidic products. 2012 Utex is priced at 50,00 per 25 liter (delivered) minimum order quantity 12 delivery included with the machine. Otherwise shipping cost from UK to be added. We would expect a years supply of detergents would be approximately 20 x 25 liters. INSTALLATION AND SERVICE Simple installation and maintenance, the load and wash system is easy to set up when delivered. It comes in one piece, can be offloaded and positioned in the minimum of time, and requires only simple connection to your services. We require the customer to ensure all services are available and connection to services is by others.
