All four checklists are a vital part of my changeover system and I couldn t manage without them. They help me to: - streamline - standardise - stay in control - plan ahead These checklists mean I don t have to put any thinking into what needs to be cleaned, checked, left out, purchased each time new guests arrive. I no longer have to carry lots of information in my head (which may well get forgotten) and I no longer have lots of hastily scribbled notes all over my desk, with prompts and reminders! These checklists are my prompts and reminders. After each changeover, if you re not involved, ask your housekeeper for a copy of these checklists. You can then keep track of any comments, understand what needs replenishing and note any problems encountered. As a business owner, you can than take necessary steps to rectify. FINAL TOUCHES CHECKLIST Plump up sofa cushions Arrange scatter cushions neatly on sofa and beds Straighten duvet covers and throws Hang curtains evenly and symmetrically Arrange flowers neatly in a vase Arrange books, magazines neatly on the shelf/table Lift out wine glasses, teapot etc on welcome tray Set the fire ready to light Check towels neatly folded on beds Remove any post Ensure dining chairs and patio chairs are pushed under the table Ensure heating off or set to timer depending on the season Final check through of the cleaning (using the cleaning checklist)
