Page 5 / 15 1 General safety rules 1.1 Safety of individuals The general safety instructions listed below must be scrupulously followed. Installation, commissioning and maintenance operations Only trained individuals are allowed to work on the installation, troubleshooting and. in general. for any other type of intervention on the system or remote panel. This personnel must possess the specific documentation, in particular this manual. Untrained operators must not work on the panel for any reason. 1.2 Safety of the product The panel is designed for indoor use, do not install the device outdoors. Do not position the panel near liquids or in excessively humid /damp areas. Do not let liquid or other foreign substances get inside the device. Do not expose the panel to direct sunlight or place it near sources of heat. 2 General information is a remote LCDs Annunciator (supplementary) suitable for repeating and displaying active events (Alarm, Trouble, supervisory, etc.) and operating command to the Digit Italia system C.I.E. It is housed in a case specifically designed for wall mounting or desk positioning. Up to 32 can be connected to a Digit Italia C.I.E. at maximum distance of 1200 m. The connections are made by means of RS485 four wires opto-isolated interfaces: cable should be shielded 4x0,75 mm 2 (min.) type. On the back-lit display (8 rows 40 chars each) all current events (Alarms, Trouble, Supervisory, etc.) and date and time are shown. A series of LEDs indicates Power Supply presence, Delay of Alarm, device(s) exclusion, Alarms and Troubles. A membrane keyboard is allowable as operator interface. From the keyboard it s possible to perform the operations here below exactly as operations should be done from keyboard on the C.I.E. : ACKNOWLEDGE of events Increasing the time delay for an Alarm (if programmed into the C.I.E.) Sirens and alarm signaling device silencing Carry out general reset Lamp test Alarm, Trouble and Disablement conditions are notified by the internal buzzer. may be powered directly by the C.I.E. or by external power supply units.

Yellow led indicator; when it is on a fault condition is present on the control panel. Yellow led indicator; when it is on an exclusion is present on the control panel. Yellow led indicator; when it is on it indicates that the siren is excluded on the control panel. Yellow led indicator; when it is on it indicates that the alarm delay has been increased locally. Green led indicator; when it is on it indicates that the power is on. 3.2 Keys Key Description <, > Selection of the event type shown on the display., Rotation of messages shown on the display. RESET TEST LAMP REARM SIREN SILENCE SIREN Control panel reset key (general reset). Enabled via a mechanical key. Key to test the lit indicators. It lights the indicators for 5 seconds. Key for resetting the sirens if they were previously shut off when an alarm condition was present. Enabled via a mechanical key. Key for silencing sirens when an alarm condition is present. Enabled via a mechanical key.

Page 7 / 15 INCREASE DELAY ACKNOWLEDGE Key for increasing alarm delay when a timed alarm condition is present. Enabled via a mechanical key. Key for acquiring an event. Acquisition of an event requires silencing the panel and control panel buzzers. Panel access is protected by a lock. 3.3 Relays al has a relay which is directly piloted by the control panel. When the control panel goes into alarm condition 2, the relay is activated, instead when the control panel returns to normal operating conditions the relay is released. 4 Operation Each can be used in two different ways depending on it is programmed or not into Digit Italia C.I.E. : Monitor (non interactive) way Monitor and control (interactive) way To work in the first way only need to power the unit and properly connect the RS485 wiring cable. The Digit Italia C.I.E. automatically transmit the display messages to all the connected units without any control of circuits integrity. No interaction with the operator is active. To work in the second way each need to be programmed onto the Digit Italia C.I.E. (refer to Digit Italia programming manual). Interaction with the operator is enabled. Connection bus is supervised for integrity. When the is operated, the character * and the character - switch each other every second, on the right angle of the display (see Fig. below). If the character no dot switch, the Annunciator hasn t been programmed on the C.I.E. In this case, the C.I.E. does not process the interaction with the SIRA ID 32 * REMOTE PROGRAMMING ENABLED Fig. 4-3 C.I.E. programming mode 4.1 Adjusting the display contrast The display contrast can be adjusted as follows: With the panel turned on, press the TEST LAMP and < keys at the same time. The contrast adjustment bar and ambient temperature will appear on the display. To increase the contrast, press the TEST LAMP and keys at the same time. To decrease the contrast, press the TEST LAMP and keys at the same time. To exit the adjustment menu, press the TEST LAMP and > keys at the same time.
