REMAINS LIGHTING CUSTOM DIVISION The Remains Lighting Custom Division provides custom lighting solutions for hotels, restaurants, religious buildings, private residences, luxury development, yachts, private aviation, and public spaces. Remains has served an exacting interior design and architecture clientele since 1995, when founder David Calligeros first opened in a Chelsea loft selling impeccably restored antique lighting. Since the introduction of our Permanent Collection in 1999, Remains has manufactured lighting of unrivaled quality for residential and commercial projects worldwide. We prioritize the complex concerns of large projects while preserving those aesthetic elements that are beyond compromise. Three characteristics distinguish Remains Lighting in the industry: Expertise in historical metal and glass artisanship gained by restoring tens of thousands of antique lighting fixtures. A reputation built from distributing our 200+ piece Permanent Collection around the globe. Whether an order is based on samples, tearsheets or catalog, the quality of our fixtures remains consistent. Our engineering, design, project management and production facilities are housed under one roof, allowing intimate control of the entire order process. Our vertical integration ensures superlative quality and on-time delivery. We set demanding quality benchmarks for finish, performance and aesthetics on all of our fixtures, and certify to UL, EC and IP standards. CUSTOM SEQUENCE The Remains Custom Division assists with every stage of the project. The typical process proceeds as follows: 1 2 Upon receipt of the project s prerequisites, our staff suggests materials and develops a cost and lead-time estimate for review. We are happy to develop a solution based on a cocktail-napkin sketch, a written or verbal specification, or a fully detailed set of drawings. Once schedule and price are approved, our engineers use hand renderings and computer solid modeling to produce a drawing set for approval. Material and finish sampling follows. 3 On receipt of approval a dedicated Project Manager takes charge of the project to build all the finish and logistical details into the order. 4 Lastly, we coordinate shipping and, if required, provide an on-site installation team for particularly complex projects. Remains operates a green factory with highly scrutinized process and material control. We are well- suited to meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of design projects requiring LEED, BREEAM, ADA, Title 24, EISA 2007, and other code compliance. 4
CUSTOM RESTORATION Remains Lighting is uniquely qualified to take on historic restoration projects. We combine historically accurate methods and finishes with modern design and replication techniques resulting in pieces that are museum quality, technically state of the art, and functional. Our extensive first-hand experience in restoration is supplemented by background research in the Remains Library of archival drawings and texts on lighting design and metalworking. All aspects of restoration are handling in house, from fabrication of missing parts, to refinishing, to discrete rewiring for modern code-compliant and energy efficient use. We are particularly interested in projects that demand sustainable sourcing of materials and high performance / energy efficiency. We can restore historic and vintage fixtures to meet LEED, BREEAM, CA Title 24, ADA, EISA 2007 and similar specifications. 5
