Searching with Excellence Vallon was founded in 1965, and has since become one of the worldwide leaders in the field of detectors for land mines, IED and UXO as well as associated software. Our History At the beginning, Vallon started with reworking WWII handheld metal mine detectors from the USA. Modern transistor technology was applied to replace valve operated electronics. In 1979, we registered as a private limited company, the Vallon GmbH. During the following years, our R&D department developed its own range of different detectors for specific applications. In 1982, we started computer-aided detection which includes computer-aided data survey and evaluation to determine for example object positions or object depths. The Vallon GmbH today Today, we develop and manufacture for our worldwide customers with approx. 70 employees exclusively at our facility in Eningen located in the south of Germany which is known as a center of high-tech engineering and one of the most innovative regions of Europe. We are certified to have initiated and adopted a Quality Management Program according to the international standard ISO 9001:2008. Our Customers We are honored to supply our products to the German Federal Armed Forces and to many NATO and non- NATO partner forces for many decades. Furthermore, our detectors and software are successfully deployed by numerous NGOs, private and state-owned explosive ordnance disposal services worldwide. Our Goal Our goal is providing the perfect equipment and training for our customers to make the world safer.
