Everybody knows that a sunbath on a winter day can be pleasant, despite air temperatures below 0 C. On the basis of this ingenious principle, we provide your hall with heat. How does this work? Like the sun, PENDER radiant heating systems produce long-wave thermal radiation, heating all objects and surfaces directly located in the radiation area. Unlike convection, thermal energy is not transported through the air, but transferred by radiation. Only the objects, walls and floor heated this way release heat to the air in the hall. According to our experience, compared with hot-air heating, PENDER infrared radiators can manage with a room air temperature of 3 C less with the same physical well-being. Heat losses due to ventilation and transmission are reduced. The heating system can be operated more efficiently, protecting the environment and cutting costs. Control Control PENDER heating controls are easy to operate. The reduce energy and operating costs and increase comfort, and the system operator maintains full control of its hall heating system. Control unit R-P1 and R-P2 The digital control unit has been designed for one-stage (R-P1) or two-stage operation (R-P2). It provides all functions of a modern heater control, such as daily, overnight and week program, as well as a manual extension of the operating time. Up to eight PENDER radiant heaters and one or two room temperature sensors may be connected to one control unit in standard operation. Controller R-PB The controller R-PB is a BUS system which is ideally matched to the PENDER radiant heaters. Together with the R-PM 1 and R-PM 2 modules, up to 8 heating zones can be managed economically. Up to six radiant heaters can be connected to each R-PM 1 module for one-stage or R-PM 2 for two two-stage operation. Each module operates as an independent controller and has its own room temperature sensor. Via the central unit, the same operations are possible as with our R-P1/2 controllers. IN addition, it is possible to connect them to the internal ethernet, so that it is possible to control them via PC. Connection to your existing building services management system is achieved with suitable communication modules which are available. PENDER Air Curtains Heat for halls and doors Radiant heat with air curtain technology For halls with large doors where opening of the doors results in heavy draughts, the PENDER air curtain system is recommended, reducing the draughts in the occupied area of doors to a minimum. With the door closed: The heat radiator radiates radiant heat from above, heating up the floor and any objects below. They release the heat to the ambient air. The fan is deactivated. The PENDER air curtain combines two proved technologies, combining the advantages of both systems. The energy saving heat radiator permanently heats the space in the door area, preventing the massive penetration of cold air when the door is opened, by switching on an air flow. With the door open: The fan is switched on, generating an air flow which is directed with a 15 % inclination against the inflowing cold air. While the cold air cannot penetrate, the radiant heat continues to affect the floor and any objects below. Especially when the door is open for longer periods, this avoids high heat loss and reduces energy costs. Compared with conventional air curtains with hot water register, 50 % less power is required to achieve the same thermal input. PENDER Airquell Airquell system Heating, cooling and ventilation in one system The PENDER Airquell system creates optimum indoor air conditions. It does not only supply fresh, unpolluted outside air and controls the temperature of your halls, but also removes production-related pollution such as welding and oil mist fumes or sanding dust from frequently used areas. The frequently used area is supplied with warm fresh air. Summer The frequently used area is supplied with cool, fresh outside air. With additional cooling registers, the fresh air can be further cooled down. The fresh outside air is heated by heat exchange of the heating tape and/or via a heating register. The swelling air temperature and the amount of supplied air can be individually controlled. The fresh air which is 1 to 3 C cooler is supplied to the frequently used area and therefore remains there. The existing polluted air is displaced. The swelling air diffusing towers with their numerous openings enable draughtfree and uniform distribution of the air, resulting in a good air quality in the frequently used area without mixing with the existing and polluted air. The radiant heating takes over the heating function, therefore providing for a comfortable and economic heating of your hall. In order to meet special requirements, the installation of a cooling register allows for switching between cooling and fresh air. - 12 -
Exhaust technology Exhaust technology In spite of the high thermal efficiency of our hall heating systems, low amounts of exhaust gasses must be discharged. This is achieved with the help of exhaust systems that can be made available as single or collective exhaust gas treatment plants. For almost every installation situation, PENDER offers a safe exhaust system which complies with the regulations. Depending on the available space, roof or wall bushings will be used.
