The leveling legs on the front corners can be adjusted by turning clockwise to raise the appliance and counter clockwise to lower it. The front of the refrigerator shoud be slightly elevated to ensure the door closes tightly. 1. Top Hinge Cover 8. Middle Hinge 2. Top HInge Screws (3) 9. Fridge Door Plug 3. Top HInge 10. How to Use Cleaning & Care Note: Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for 4 hours before using. Allow 24 hours if refrigerator was shipped on it s side. 1. Food should be kept in sealed containers to avoid odors and drying. 2. Hot food should be cooled down before placing into the appliance. When you place hot food in the refrigerator, the overall interior temperature will warm and energy consumption will increase. 3. Leave space between items in the refrigerator. 4. Reducing the frequency of door opening can decrease energy consumption. 5. The temperature of the refrigerator interior is controlled using the temperature control knob. The larger the number is, the cooler the interior temperature will be. 0 stands for OFF. 7 stands for the coldest temperature level. Turn the knob to 4 under normal weather conditions and turn to a higher number for warm weather conditions. We recommend using a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the actual temperature inside the refrigerator. Note: If you plan to be away for an extended period of time, remove all the food and unplug the cord. After defrosting (see page 9), wipe the refrigerator dry, and leave the door propped open. 1. The appliance should be maintained and cleaned frequently. 2. Turn off and unplug the appliance. 3. Remove shelves and wash in warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive brushes or pads, or harsh cleaning solutions. 4. Use a soft cloth, sponge or rubber spatula to remove any stuck-on food or residue. 5. Clean the interior of the refrigerator with water and baking soda (use about 2 T. of soda per quart of water). Rinse with clean water and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Do not splash water in the refrigerator. 6. The door gasket must be kept clean to ensure proper seal. Clean frequently using mild detergent and a soft cloth. Wipe dry before closing door. 7. Wipe the refrigerator exterior with a damp cloth (mild detergent may be used, if necessary) and wipe dry. 8. Heavy frost build-up in the freezer will increase energy consumption. Defrost the freezer whenever the frost is 1/4 thick or more: A. Take all the food out of the freezer and refrigerator. B. Remove the shelves. C. Turn the refrigerator OFF and unplug the power cord. D. Open the doors and wait for the ice to melt (this may take several hours) wipe up the water with adry cloth. E. When done, reset the temperature control. Note: Do not use sharp or pointed objects to remove the ice, as they may damage the walls or cooling coils! 9. Ensure all parts are dried thoroughly before reassembling and using the appliance. 8 Wards.com 1 888 557 3848 9

Troubleshooting 1. The refrigerator does not work: Check the power supply (plug, cord, or circuit breaker), or temperature control knob is set to OFF. 2. The refrigerator does not work efficiently: There may be heavy frost in the freezer compartment, or temperature control knob setting is too low, or frequent door opening. 3. The refrigerator makes a vibrating noise: The surface is uneven (adjust the leveling legs), or refrigerator is touching a wall or cabinet. 4. The compressor runs for long periods: Hot weather, or the doors are being opened frequently, or the doors are left open, or the temperature control knob setting is too high. 5. Foul odors: Food with strong odor is not sealed tightly in containers, or food has spoiled and should be discarded. 6. Moisture forms on the inside or outside of the appliance: This is normal during times of high humidity. 7. Frost occurs on the rear of the appliance: Hot food was recently placed inthe refrigerator, or high humidity. Notes 10 Wards.com 1 888 557 3848 11
