INSTALLATION *** REQUIRES TWO PEOPLE *** 1. DO NOT connect the appliance to the mains power supply unit un l the installa on is correctly carried out and complete. 2. The minimum distances MUST be observed. 3. Take care when drilling fixing holes and ensure that no power cables, gas or water pipes are behind the installa on site. 4. The appliance is designed to fit permanently to a wall at a minimum height of 300mm from the floor to the bo om of the appliance. A height of 600mm from floor to the bo om of the heater is recommended for op mum viewing of the fuel bed. See Fig. 1 Fig. 1 The wall bracket must be installed horizontally. Use a spirit level to ensure a true level. For best results install the wall bracket 1045mm from the floor to the fixing hole. Use the screws and wall plugs provided for standard wall installa ons. Dry lined plaster board walls may require alterna ve fixings. See Fig. 2 Fig. 2 3
INSTALLATION CONTINUED Fig. 3 Carefully li the heater onto the wall bracket ensuring that the top rear ledge of the appliance engages the wall bracket and is si ng centrally. See Fig.2 in circled detail. Bring the appliance level with the wall. Mark the bo om hole posi ons. Remove the appliance ensuring the bo om fixing bracket is rotated up. Drill and fit wall plugs. Refit the appliance to the wall fixing bracket and rotate the bo om fixing bracket down again and use the screw provided to permanently fit the appliance in place. Unpack the decora ve pebbles and arrange along the light unit in the desired posi on. Place the front glass surround over the front of the appliance aligning the slots in the brackets at each side of the glass panel with the lugs on the side of the appliance. See fig. 4 Fig. 4 4
OPERATION A en on: - Ensure the appliance is properly installed. Plug it into 220-240V~ 50Hz wall socket. - The main power rocket switch located at the top right hand side of the appliance. Press I to turn power on. Manual Opera on Main Power Switch Press the O/I switch to turn the appliance ON and a RED LED will illuminate. Pressing & holding the O/I bu on for three seconds will operate the dimmer mode. Press the 900W bu on to operate the low heat se ng. Press again to cancel the opera on. Press the 1800W bu on to operate the high heat se ng. Press again to cancel the opera on. 5
OPERATION Remote control How to install or change ba eries (ba eries not include) - The polarity of ba eries must match the indicator in the remote control. - Don t mix new and old ba eries. - If the remote control will not be used for a long period, take ba eries out to avoid corrosion. - The ba eries must be removed from the remote control before it is scrapped and dispose of them responsibly. Note: Ba eries contain materials, which are hazardous to the environment; they must be removed from the appliance at the end of their life and disposed of safely. Remote Control Opera on There is a short me delay a er pressing a remote control opera on. Wait three seconds before pressing any further bu ons. Press the ON/OFF bu on to turn the appliance ON. Press the 900W bu on to operate the low heat se ng. Press again to cancel the opera on. Press the 1800W bu on to operate the high heat se ng Press again to cancel the opera on. Press the DIMMER bu on to operate the dimmer mode. 6
LAMP REPLACEMENT WARNING Always disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply before replacing the bulbs. CAUTION The bulbs reach a high temperature during opera on. Allow the bulbs to cool down before a emp ng to replace. It is recommended that the appliance be removed from the wall and laid on its back in order to replace the bulbs. Carefully slide the glass panel towards the top of the appliance and li off. Store the glass safely while the bulb is replaced. At the bo om of the appliance is a plate fixed with four Philips head screws. Remove the four screws and li off the lamp cover. See fig. 5. Fig. 5 Fig. 6 For access to the bulbs, carefully slide the rota ng reflector to one side ensuring the rubber grommit is not lost. See fig. 6. Remove the defec ve bulb by unscrewing it. Replace the bulb with a 40wa s G9 halogen bulb taking care not to over ghten it. Refit the rota ng reflector ensuring the rubber grommit is carefully pushed into the slo ed hole on the axial bracket. Li the fire back onto the lugs either side of the appliance. Replacement bulbs are available from any good DIY or hardware store. 7
OVERHEAT PROTECTION This appliance is fi ed with a safety cut out which will operate if the appliance overheats. For safety reasons the appliance will not automa cally reset. To reset the appliance, disconnect the mains power supply for a minimum of 15 minutes. Reconnect the mains power supply and switch the appliance on. DO NOT block of obstruct the air vents as this will lead to the appliance overhea ng and may cause a fire hazard. Maintenance CLEANING Before cleaning always disconnect the mains power supply. For general cleaning using a so, moist cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or proprietary glass cleaner. 8

TECHNICAL DATA BS Plug Wiring Wiring Instruc ons: Should it be necessary to change the plug please note the wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: BLUE - NEUTRAL BROWN - LIVE GREEN OR GREEN/YELLOW - EARTH As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the coloured markings iden fying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: 1. The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the le er N or coloured BLACK. 2. The BROWN wire is the LIVE and must be connected to the terminal that is marked with the le er L or coloured RED. 3. Neither wire is to be connected to the terminal which is marked with the le er E or earth symbol, coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW. 4. Always ensure that the cord grip is posi oned and fastened correctly. If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be fi ed with a 13A (BS 1362) fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
