1.GENERAL 1.1 General terms of delivery Any equipment, even CARRIAGE and PACKING FREE, travel at the consignee's risk. The consignee shall make reserves in writing on the carrier's delivery bill if he notes damage caused during the transport (confirmation to be sent to the carrier within 48 hours by registered mail and Acknowledgement of Receipt). 1.2 Voltage Prior to any operation, check that the voltage on the identification plate of the appliance corresponds to the mains voltage provided on site. 1.3 Standards The dehumidifier shall be installed according to the national electric standards in force. 2. DESCRIPTION 2.1 Presentation General safety For safety reasons, read this manual careful before operating. Persons who are not familiar with this manual must not use this dehumidifier. We strongly recommend keeping this manual in a safe place for future reference Filter Fan Dry air Moist air Cooling elements Power indicator light Fan speed control Humidistat control Drain Compressor 3
2.2 Dimensions L : Width 660 mm H : Height 720 mm P : Depth 295 mm 3. INSTALLATION The unit can either be located on the floor or be hung on the wall. Standing on the floor : The unit is equipped with 4 plastic legs. Make sure that all legs are supported by the floor and that the unit is not in contact with the wall to avoid vibrations. Hanging on the wall : The unit can be hung on 2 screws inserted in the wall. In the attached bag please find 2 screws and 2 plastic wall inserts suitable for those screws. Both screws shall be horizontally located on the wall with a distance of 450 mm between them. On the metal rear panel of the unit there are 2 pear like slots in which the heads of screws should be inserted. In order to eliminate vibrations and noise, the 2 rubber supports in the attached bag shall be fixed to the lower corner of the unit s rear panel. Peel off the cover from the self adhesive strip attached to the rubber support and stick the supports to the rear panel. Caution : When positioning the dehumidifier, ensure that it is placed on a level surface. The dehumidifier shall not be installed at less than 60 cm from ceiling. * Important: positioning the dehumidifier shall comply with electric standards in force in the country. 4. CONNECTIONS 4.1 Electric connections The DT 850 dehumidifier shall be connected to main supply and be earthed in compliance with electric standards in force. Section of cable : at least 3 x 1.5 mm². Electric protection : Differential circuit breaker 30 ma (not provided). Caution: Before connection, check that voltage and power input are in compliance with rating plate. The DT 850 is safe. However, as other electrical appliances, use it with care. Keep out of reach of children. Do not clean by spraying or immersing into water. Do not insert any object into the openings. Disconnect from mains before cleaning the units or its components. Never connect to an electrical outlet using an extension cord. If an outlet is not available, one should be installed by a licensed electrician. Any service other than regular cleaning or filter replacement should be performed by an authorized service representative. Failure to do so could result in a loss of guarantee. Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an approved service representative or a similar qualified person in order to avoid any hazards. 4
4.2 Drainage There are four outlets for the drainage tube. In order to change the outlet, the rear panel shall be dismounted. When remounting the rear panel, care should be taken to return all screws and washers to their original location. Connecting the permanent outlet Ø13. - Connect the pipe to an outlet tube with the correct diameter. - Push the other end of the tube into a drain, making sure that the tubing cannot be twisted or folded. - The entire length of the tube must be slightly inclined. - Ensure that the outlet of the drainage pipe is not under the water level in the drain. Notice : - In very cold weather conditions precautions shall be taken to prevent drainage pipe from freezing. - Drainage pipe shall not be in contact with the compressor. 5. OPERATION Mains 230V 50 Hz. Air flow rate 500 m 3 / h. Refrigerating agent R407C (710g). Power consumption 850 W*. * at 30 C and 70% R.H.. * Technical data: Heat recovery 2100 W*. Current 4,5 A (start 18 A). Net weight 45 kg. Important: DT 850 should not be used in temperatures below 7 C and above 35 C Automatic humidity control This dehumidifier is equipped with an adjustable humidistat control (fig.4 -n 3-). When first starting, turn the humidistat control clockwise full tilt. At this setting the dehumidifier will run continuously, regardless of the humidity level. Allow the unit to run in this way until a comfortable level of humidity is reached. At this point, slowly turn the humidistat control anti-clockwise until the unit switches off. The dehumidifier will now automatically maintain the humidity at this level. The other switch controls the ventilator speed (fig.4 n 2-). Important information: Every time the dehumidifier is on demand, the compressor and the ventilator start after 3 minutes. The light POWER in on when the ventilator runs. Defrost control This dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic de-icing mode to defrost the refrigeration coil during low temperature operation. The compressor is switched off whilst the ventilator keeps running. This cycle of de-icing is controlled by an electronic module Alfa 14/1 that checks the sensor of the EVAPORATOR (S.IN) every 20 minutes (compressor is stopped for maximum 8 minutes if temperature of the coil is below 1 C) and the sensor CONDENSER that stops the compressor if the temperature of the condenser is over 65 C. 5
Fan speed control The dehumidifier features a 2-speed fan (High speed : big fan position, low speed : small fan position). Switch on low speed position at night when the pool is covered. 6. MAINTAINANCE Cleaning the air filter Air circulation is impeded and the efficiency of dehumidifying and air purifying functions decrease when the filter is dirty. It is therefore good practice to clean the filter regularly. The precise intervals depend on the nature of the hall and the time of operation, but cleaning the filter should be performed at least once a month. -1- Remove filter by sliding it out (fig. 2). -2- Clean the filter or wash in tap water. -3- Dry before inserting back. Maintenance Once a year, check all connections are tight. 7. WARNING * Important: Before any intervention, the appliance shall be disconnected from mains supply CAUTION Before any intervention, make sure the appliance is disconnected from mains supply. Any intervention shall be performed by qualified persons. 8. ELECTRIC DIAGRAM 0 = Neutral ~ = Phase = Ground IMPORTANT!
