It is important that design process takes full account of physical features of site, its setting connections to its surroundings. Our new development must also take into account existing character of local area. MOVEMENT IN AND AROUND THE SITE We have looked at pattern of roads around site, best places to get in out most desirable routes for cars, cycles pedestrians both across around our site. We n consider how different buildings can frame those streets. THE DESIGN OF THE NEW HOMES The distinctive characteristics of Wing have strongly influenced se early design sketches for architecture of new homes, in order to make new development feel part of village to ensure that buildings will be high quality attractive. Things we took into account A distinctive character. Safe, convenient direct paths & cycle routes. Making most of l existing features. Access to existing facilities. Well located, well managed open space. Finding your way around.

Scheme proposal Stewkley Road This former allotments site at corner of Stewkley Road Dormer Avenue is identified by Aylesbury Vale District Council as a suitable development site which is capable of accommodating approximately 50 new homes. In October 2013 this site was also part of Parish Council s consultation, was considered by attendees to be best site for development. The Parish Council have advised us that re are three main topics that y are keen to see addressed: Retaining existing green spaces, creating an ecological corridor to open countryside. Ensuring re is enough parking for new homes, to make sure existing residents of Wing are not affected. The traffic implications of new homes. We will design scheme with se matters in mind will ensure that mature trees hedgerows are retained, with western element of site providing an ecological wildlife corridor, acting as a screen to development reducing potential visual impact upon existing lscape. Car parking will be provided which will meet Council s parking stards, traffic implications will be studied in detail works to highway network in around Wing will be undertaken where necessary. Taylor Wimpey will discuss scheme with local community of Wing again, once proposals have been progressed furr. This will be prior to submission of any planning application for site. Please feel free to share your thoughts with members of team, as your views will help to shape form of this new development. Site accessed from Dormer Avenue. Ecological buffer a key part of proposals. Parking provided to meet local stards. Green spaces retained enhanced. Attractive pedestrian link through site. Open, green feel to development.
