TECHNICAL NOTES This document describes the setup and configuration of camera and lighting devices for Quantum Milestone Integration software version 2.0. Refer to the Milestone XProtect Management tool on how to add cameras or lighting devices to the system. Depending on the hardware being added, there may be additional drivers or plug-ins required to interface with the device. Below are some examples of Milestone drivers and plug-ins for cameras and IP lights. Axis P55xx Camera Series z(legacy)axis P55xx Camera Series Videotec S.P.A. Ulisse Compact HD ONVIF Conformant Device Raytec Vario IP Light Milestone Plug-in Make note of camera names and presets added to Milestone to be entered into the Quantum configuration file. Edit the MilestoneConfiguration.xml file to add alarms and camera presets triggered by Quantum. Default location: C:\Program Files\Quantum Technology Sciences\System Monitor\config. Raytec IP Lighting Configuration Use the Discovery Tool to detect Raytec Illuminators on the network or open a browser and enter the illuminator IP address (e.g. http://192.168.2.80) Factory default IP address: 192.168.2.80 User Name: admin Password: password To configure Raytec IP lighting for Milestone XProtect change Lamp Mode to VMS under the Settings/Groups configuration page. This will disable local control on the light. If required, the Lamp Name and IP address can be changed under the Network configuration page. Add the RaytecLightOn event to the Quantum configuration file. See example below: <AlarmId>1</AlarmId> <AlarmName>NODE-1-ZONE-3</AlarmName> <AlarmType>DETECT</AlarmType> <AlarmEvent>VEHICLE</AlarmEvent> <ZoneName>1_3</ZoneName> <CameraName>Axis M55xx Camera - Camera 1</CameraName> <CameraPreset>Demo</CameraPreset> <AuxNumber>0</AuxNumber> <AuxOn>false</AuxOn> <EventName>RaytecLightOn</EventName> <Timeout>60</Timeout> Quantum Technology Sciences Release Notes 5
Create a RaytecLightOn event under Milestone user-defined events and select it on the Raytec Lamp Control Option under Lamp On Trigger 1 event. See example below. Refer to the Raytec Milestone Plug-in User Guide for more information on lamp control options. Quantum Technology Sciences Release Notes 6
