Quaestor-SZU Extinguishant Control Panels Quaestor-SZU Ancillary Board The Quaestor-SZU Ancillary Board is compatible with all Quaestor control panels. The board provides volt free normally open contacts allowing control of sub-systems and plant remotely from the main panel over a two wire data bus. Ancillary boards require only a two core data cable from the main control panel and a two core power cable from the main panel. Up to 7 Ancillary boards can be connected to a control panel and each is allocated an address from 1 to 7 using a binary coded DIL switch. The total length of the data cable from the main panel to the last repeater must not exceed 4000 feet. A mixture of status units and Ancillary boards, up to a maximum of 7 of each type, can be connected to the serial data bus. The operation of this product is intended for indoor use only. Quaestor-SZE Extinguishant Control Panels Quaestor-SZE Ancillary board There is sometimes a requirement to extend signals from the extinguishing system for additional plant control or other signalling applications such as interfaces to BMS systems or house fire alarm systems. The Quaestor-SZE is equipped with a selection of volt free contacts which are often adequate for this purpose. For applications that require more outputs from the system, the Quaestor- SZE ancillary board is available. Up to 7 ancillary boards may be connected to the status unit serial bus to provide distributed control and signalling at multiple locations if required. Each output has an LED indicator which shows which outputs are operated. The Quaestor-SZE ancillary board contains volt free changeover contacts for signalling of the following: SHA70001 Quaestor Ancillary PCB Zone 1 fire Zone 2 fire Zone 3 fire Manual only mode Disablement active Released Activated Manual release operated Extract fan operated Hold activated One ancillary board can be mounted within a Quaestor-SZE control panel on push-in standoffs behind the main equipment chassis. Alternatively, Quaestor-SZE ancillary boards are available in enclosures that match the styling of the control panel. + - + - 24V DC 24V DC PF Z1 FIRE Z2 FIRE Z3 FIRE MAN MODE DISAB REL ACT HOLD EXTR MAN REL + - RS485 OUT + - RS485 IN Example System Schematic Detection Zone 3 Detection Zone 2 1st Stage Sounders 2nd Stage Sounders Hold Manual Release Door Interlock MAN Z1 Z2 Z3 MAN DISAB REL ACT REL EXTR HOLD Low Pressure Switch Released Pressure Switch Activate Extinguisher OK PROCESSOR RESET FUSE FAIL ADDRESS Detection Zone 1 System Status and Control 4 Core Addressable House Fire Alarm Ancillary Board BMS Interface EN12094-1 Approved Control Unit System Status and Control System Status and Control Ancillary Board 4 Core 07 Safety Hi-Tech
