Description The Photoluminescent EXIT Signs (the Exit Signs ) are provided with pre-drilled holes for a mechanical surface mount, or the Exit Signs may also be mounted onto a wall or ceiling using the manufactured recommended aluminium mounting bracket. Each letter that spells the word EXIT on the approved sign shall be 15.2 cm (6") high, with a stroke width of 2.3 cm (0.9") wide. The Flush Mount (FL) series Exit Signs consist of sign placards with a photoluminescent background with red letters or photoluminescent letters with red background spelling the word EXIT. Red or photoluminescent directional indicators matching the colour scheme are available to be placed at each side of the Exit Sign. The substrate material is sheet aluminum, and the photoluminescent pigment is applied to the substrate using a heat fusion process to ensure the permanent bonding of the two materials. The Box Frame (BX) series Exit Signs are similar to the FL series, the BX series consists of a sign placard with photoluminescent background with red letters or photoluminescent letters with red background spelling the word EXIT. The BX2 series Exit Signs are similar to the BX Series Exit Signs except they incorporate field-securable aluminum directional indicators on the face of the Exit Sign. The directional arrows are secured to the sign face by bending the manufacturer supplied aluminium tabs, as recommenced by the manufacturer.
