Overview Overview Collection Services The Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) provides residential recycling, organics and garbage collection services. Pickup is weekly and carts should be placed against your curb by 7 a.m. on your assigned collection day, at least 3 feet away from other carts or obstacles. Your blue and green carts are always picked up the same day. Your brown cart is picked up on an alternate day. Carts should be removed from the curb at the end of the collection day. For more information or to determine your collection day, download the SWMD app at my-waste.mobi/tx-sanantonio, visit sanantonio.gov/my-collection-day, or call 3-1-1 or (210) 207-6000. If your cart is missed for collection, call 3-1-1. Carts containing unacceptable items cannot be collected. For holiday collection schedules, visit sanantonio.gov/swmd/mycollectionday/holidaycollection.aspx.
