Which Netafim dripline do I use? Netafim manufacture a vast range of integrated driplines. They vary in the discharge rate and type of dripper used. The driplines are available in both compensated and non-compensated forms as well as various tube diameters and dripper spacing. The following information on the green pages is designed to help you determine which Netafim Dripline you should use and what spacing should be used. The drip system can be installed on the soil surface and covered with mulch to irrigate garden The spacing between the internal drippers in your drip system will be determined by the soil type and plant varieties that you have in your garden. Light noncompacted soils will allow water to drain away very readily where heavy compacted soils don t. As a result of the soil type, drip and dripline spacing will be closer in light soils and further apart in heavy soils. The table below will give you an indication of the correct drip and dripline spacing. Example plants with high water requirement will have driplines spaced closer together than those which require a lower water requirement which will have driplines spaced further apart. Also consideration should be given to the extent of the plants root system. Miniscape Gardens Miniscape is a 6mm I.D. dripline manufactured from high-grade UV stable L.D. Polyethylene. It can be run up to 15m as a single lateral or 30m when fed back into the line. (run lengths refer to 0.3m spacing) Miniscape can easily be used to convert an existing spray system to drip (retro-fit). Techline uses the latest "Dripnet AS" pressure compensating (PC) and Self Cleaning dripper. It also features a unique anti-suckback (Anti Siphon) device to prevent the suckback of debris into the drip-line, particularly on shut down in sub-surface applications. Available with two different flow rates and an assortment of drip spacings, this tube is ideal for all landscape and turf irrigation situations. Techline, with its "Dripnet AS" dripper, will ensure a uniform discharge rate over both long distances and changing topographies. The UniRam incorporates an anti-suckback mechanism which prevents soil being sucked back into the drip opening. Suckback normally occurs when a sub-surface system shuts off and water inside the dripline drains out of the tube and creates a vacuum.
