Garbage Disposal Turn on the faucet to allow running water to go down the drain of the garbage disposal. Then turn on the light switch next to the sink, scrape out your food scraps into the garbage disposal. You should hear a loud sound, that is the garbage disposal working to chop up the food waste. CAUTION: Do not put a utensil such as a spoon or fork into the garbage disposal! Wait for the garbage disposal to finish chopping up the food and the sound to become clear. Then turn off the light switch by the sink and then turn off the water. NEVER put your hands in the garbage disposal!! If there is something stuck, please call CCA.
Thermostat Set the dial to your desired temperature. 68-70 degrees Fahrenheit is a comfortable temperature for most people. If the heater does not click on, that is ok!
