How the compactor compacts Compactor ram in lowest position This trash will compact later A ram inside the compactor forces trash down to about one-fourth its original size by using pressure The ram does not go to the bottom of the drawer. Because of this you will not see compacting the first few times you run the compactor. However, this trash will be compacted later The container must be at least one-third full of loose trash before you notice any compacting. IMPORTANT: E> Glass bottles, jars, and other glass containers will sometimes break with a loud noise. This is normal. Because other trash cushions some glass containers, all bottles may not break. By the time the trash bag is full, trash is compacted to about one-fourth of its original bulk.

How to operate compactor 1. Open drawer. 13501 and 13505 Model Series use the STEP-ON drawer opener or the drawer handle In y % 1 m K 2. Bag Away Bag Caddy 13501 and 13505 Model Series Fits right inside the compactor drawer Helps make removing and carrying full compactor bag a simple task Solid Air Freshener System 13405 Model Series The solid air freshener system is designed to help control odors that might develop from the trash. REMOVE ROLLERS LEVELING LEGS Key-knob control can be removed when in REMOVE position. This is a safety feature intended to prevent small children from operating the compactor. NOTE- Your compactor comes with an extra key for your convenience. 13305 Model Series Rear rollers make the compactor easier to put into position. Front leveling legs make it easier to level the compactor. Remember, the compactor must be level to operate properly. The textured steel top resists smudges and fingerprints. Helps keep your freestanding compactor looking clean and smart. There are two switches that are engaged when the drawer is completely closed. One switch is located at the front of the compactor, the other on the back wall. Both switches must be engaged or the ram will not go down. This prevents the compactor from operating unless the drawer is completely and properly closed. 13501 and 13505 Model Series Provides convenient, no hands drawer opening. Just press down on the full-width Step-On Drawer Opener and the drawer slides open 13305,13501 and 13505 Model Series Change front panel color anytime to match kitchen decor.
