Flexible Gas Tubing Semi-Rigid Corrugated Stainless Steel Tube System PRODUCT GUIDE www.teslauk.com NOVEMBER 2016
A Flexible Solution Tesla ex is a lightweight semi-rigid corrugated stainless steel tube and ttings system (CSST) that is a time saving, cost effective alternative to rigid pipework for the supply of natural and lique ed gases (LPG) in domestic buildings. Tesla ex is BSI Kitemarked (KM646363), manufactured and approved to the European Standard EN15266:2007, referring to 'Stainless Steel pliable corrugated tubing kits in buildings for gas with an operating pressure up to 0.5 bar'. The aim of the Standard (EN15266) is to improve the safety level of domestic natural gas connections in the building and to provide countless bene ts for both users and installers. The Tesla ex system prevents heavy lifting, extensive measuring, cutting and threading with connections completed with simple hand tools safely and quickly. A safe main line connection for all domestic gas appliances System Benefits þ Typically requires fewer ttings per installation than conventional rigid pipework, saving time and money þ Flexible piping system þ Connections can be made with simple hand tools, safely and quickly þ Connects to existing gas lines þ Flame free installation. No torch, no gas, no ux, no system contaminants þ Competitive and stable price basis Licence No. KM646363 Reg. No. DG-4602CO0088 2 find out more online at www.teslauk.com

Quick Install Guide 1 Cut tube to length Cut the Tesla ex tubing using a suitable pipe cutter ensuring the cut is centered in the valley between corrugations, and the cutter is only slightly tightened on each full revolution around the tube. The cut should be clean with no sharp metal edges. 5 Washer & Split Ring Fit the split ring around the depressed corrugations, offer up the nut and insert the washer. 2 Remove cover Using a utility knife, safely remove about 40mm of PVC cover to allow the assembly of the ttings. 6 Adaptor Screw the male adaptor into the nut and tighten to obtain a leak-tight seal. 3 Fitting Tesla ex nut Slide the nut over the hose and place the pipe holding tool over the trimmed hose to allow the compression of two corrugations. 7 Tape Once gas tightness test has been performed, cover up the hose corrugations with the Tesla ex tape before installing to protect the hose against possible corrosion. 4 Facing Tool Insert the facing tool into the holding tool and operate the piston a few times to achieve a sealing surface ( ange).
