Maintenance & Care To maintain maximum performance from your BISSELL FeatherWeight vacuum, perform these simple maintenance checks: Emptying the dirt container 1. Depress and hold latch on top of the dirt bin to unlock and pull the dirt container out. 2. With dirt container removed, grasp the cyclone assembly and pull up to remove from dirt container. 3. Empty the dirt container into a waste bin. NOTE: The dirt container and filter assembly may be washed in warm water. NOTE: The dirt container, filter assembly, and filter must be thoroughly dry before replacing. 4. Attach dirt container to vacuum by depressing latch and securely fitting onto hand vacuum grip. Make sure dirt container is correctly secured. Cleaning the filter The key to maximum performance is a clean filter. Cleaning the filter after each use will help your FeatherWeight vacuum operate at peak efficiency. NOTE: The filter cannot be removed from the frame. NOTE: The filter frame is washable. NOTE: Make sure the assembly is assembled securely. 7. Put the cyclone back into the dirt container. NOTE: The cyclone should be facing out. 8.
