Apply as a soil application at beginning of summer wet season and again 8 to 12 weeks later until trees have recovered. Clear all weed growth from under tree canopy. To ensure that the fungicide is carried into the root zone of the tree apply when rain is imminent or use irrigation. Severely defoliated trees and limbs damaged by exposure to full summer sunlight should be pruned to remove damaged limbs prior to treatment and exposed limbs painted with white plastic paint to prevent sunburn. It is essential that good management practices include proper mulching, fertilisation and irrigation where required be followed to allow satisfactory response to Root rot control by MEDLEY 50G. In WA for dryland crops - apply in the autumn and again in the spring; for irrigation crops - apply in the spring and repeat the application at 3 monthly intervals during the summer/autumn period. 7 days 4 weeks For treatment of apparently healthy trees at risk from Root rot or showing signs of feeder root destruction or for trees which have recovered following application of MEDLEY 50G curative treatment. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Fungicide Resistance Warning GROUP D FUNGICIDE MEDLEY 50G is a member of the Phenylamide group of fungicides. For fungicide resistance management MEDLEY 50G is a Group D fungicide. Some naturally occurring individual fungi resistant to MEDLEY 50G and other Group D fungicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any fungal population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the fungi population if these fungicides are used repeatedly. These resistant fungi will not be controlled by MEDLEY 50G and other Group D fungicides, thus resulting in a reduction in efficacy and possible yield loss. Since the occurrence of resistant fungi is difficult to detect prior to use, Crop Care Australasia Pty Ltd accepts no liability for any losses that may result from the failure of MEDLEY 50G to control resistant fungi. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in the closed, original container in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of rinsings in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. If recycling, replace lid and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit. Empty containers and product should not be burnt.
