Los Angeles Section Instrumentation 2007: training, expo & prizes The Los Angeles Section of ISA is proud to host the regional exposition and training event Instrumentation 2007, to be held Thursday, February 22, 2007, at the Carson Civic Center. Formerly the LA Section s TableTop Show and Short Course, this expanded regional event provides for local industry professionals to meet face to face and access up-to-date technologies available. To be held at the Carson Civic Center (formerly Carson Convention Center), it is near a number of oil refineries and heavy industry. It is the perfect location to bring end users, manufacturers, engineering firms, systems integrators and other industry professionals together to exchange ideas and see the latest technology. Los Angeles Section Nominations for 2007-2008 Section Officers Any ISALA member who is interested in being an elected member of the board or chairing a committee should contact the section president before the February monthly section meeting. According to the section bylaws, the Past President shall, by the February meeting, appoint and chair the Nominating Committee consisting of at least four past officers. All Section members are expected to take initiative in suggesting candidates or volunteering their services. Nominating committee members include Bill Campbell, Tom Burdi, Joe Bingham, Kim Dunn and chaired by Tom Barker, Past President. Any section member who would like to make a recommendation to the committee for any of the elected offices (President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer) should contact any of the committee members before January 15, 2007.
