The Vision and Program Framework from the Task Force To create a robust sustainable communities certification program that includes the following: A road map for municipalities - a menu of coordinated, voluntary actions to make communities more efficient, healthy, safe, resilient, livable Resources and support, including funding, to help municipalities implement actions A certification program to publicly recognize municipalities for their sustainability achievements And, most importantly, a program with a flexible design that can meet the needs of all municipalities urban or rural, big or small, coastal or inland
