Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) New Training Class Airport Drill City Event Support Post Hurricane Operations Operation Santa CERT Grant The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
FY18 Achievements Marine Operations & Equipment Drone Marine Rescue Tech New Fire Rescue Boat Hurricane Irma Response The addition of the Fire Rescue boat is just one example of the benefits of being with BSO. This asset is being provided at no cost to the City.

Future Considerations Technological Advancements Assistant District Chief succession & emergency management coordination/cert Additional Fire Inspector increase in number of businesses and multitenant dwellings The Assistant District Chief would give continuity of coverage, succession planning, manage increase of fire rescue and prevention activities. The additional Fire Inspector would improve compliance and increase revenue.
