Do not allow children to play with the iron. Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by unsupervised children. If it is connected to a power socket or if it is cooling down, keep the iron and its power cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age. This iron is designed for home use. Do not use the iron in an industrial environment or outdoors. Before connecting the iron to a power socket check that the nominal voltage stated on the rating label matches the electrical voltage in the socket. Connect the iron only to a properly grounded socket. The iron must not be left without supervision if it is connected to an electrical power socket. Do not place the iron on or near an electric or gas stove or other sources of heat. The iron may be used only on a stable surface. This also applies for putting down the iron. When putting the iron down on to the stand, check that the surface on which the stand is located is stable. Never iron clothing on a body. Do not touch the hot ironing surfaces. Otherwise, this could cause burns. If you have wet hands do not touch the iron if it is connected to an el. power socket. Always disconnect the iron from the power socket before filling or emptying the water tank, before putting it away EN-3

EN Steam Iron for a short time or after finishing using it. Turn off the steam function before disconnecting the iron from the el. power socket. Prior to cleaning or any other handling of the iron that you have disconnected from the power socket, allow the soleplate to cool down. To avoid potential injury by electrical shock, do not clean the iron under running water, do not spray it with water and do not submerge it in water or any other liquid. Do not use vinegar, limescale remover or other agents for preventing water scale deposits inside the water tank. The iron must not be used if it has fallen on the floor, exhibits visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. Ensure that the power cord does not come into contact with water or a heated surface. EN Steam Iron PREPARATION BEFORE IRONING Sort the laundry according to international symbols shown on the textiles or according to the fabric types. SYMBOL FABRIC TYPE SETTING THE TEMPERATURE DIAL Synthetics (nylon, polyamide, polyester, etc.) low temperature Silk wool medium temperature Cotton linen to MAX high temperature Fabric, that should not be ironed USING THE STEAM IRON Check that the iron is disconnected from the power socket. Wipe the soleplate Aqs with a lightly damp cloth before first use and then wipe dry. 1. FILLING THE WATER TANK 1.1 Prior to filling the water tank Aqa, check that the iron is disconnected from the power socket and that the temperature dial A9 is set to the MIN position. 1.2 Set the continuous steam control lever A5 to the position marked by the symbol. 1.3 Fill the included container Aqd with water. Use distilled water or tap water (soft to medium water hardness). If water in your area is hard or very hard (more than 14 dh / 2,5 mmol/l), we recommend that you use 1 part of distilled water and 1 part of tap water. 1.4 Place the iron in the upright position. Flip open the filling opening cap on the water tank A6. Use one hand to hold the handle A1 and tilt the iron so that the soleplate Aqs is at an angle of about 45 relative to the surface on which the iron is located. Then slowly pour the water from the container Aqd through the filling opening into the water tank Aqa while making sure that the water level does not exceed the maximum mark on the water tank Aqa. 1.5 Put the iron back into the upright position and close the water tank filling opening cap A6. 2. SETTING THE TEMPERATURE DIAL 2.1 Place the iron upright on an even and stable surface. 2.2 Insert the power cord into an electric power socket. 2.3 Set the temperature dial A9 according to the type of fabric that you wish to iron, see chapter Preparation before ironing. The indicator light A2 will be lit. This signals that the soleplate Aqs is heating up. When the soleplate Aqs heats up to the set temperature, the indicator light A2 will turn off. The iron is now ready for ironing. EN-6

Steam Iron EN Note: During first use, a weak cracking sound caused by the expanding plastic may be heard. This is an entirely normal event, which will disappear in a short time. While ironing, the indicator light A2 will intermittently turn on and off. This indicates that the set temperature is being maintained. First iron the laundry that requires the lowest temperature. This will save you time because the soleplate Aqs heats up faster than it cools down. If you are ironing at a high temperature and then set a lower temperature, wait until the soleplate cools down. 3. CONTINUOUS STEAM FUNCTION 3.1 Set or turn off the continuous steam output using the continuous steam lever A5. 3.2 If you wish to iron with steam, the water tank Aqa must be filled with water and the temperature dial A9 must be set in the range from to MAX, which is suitable only for certain types of textile materials, see chapter Preparation before ironing. Use the continuous steam lever A5 to select weaker or stronger steam output. 3.3 If the continuous steam function is set at the same time as the temperature dial A9 is set to low or medium temperature, then water may drip from the soleplate Aqs. For this reason, the iron is equipped with the Drip-Stop system, which automatically stops the steam process when the temperature dial A9 is not set to a high enough temperature and so prevents potential dripping from the steam outlets. Note: The iron continuously emits steam only if you hold it in a horizontal position. You can stop the release of steam by standing the iron upright. 3.4 If you wish to iron without the continuous steam function, set the lever A5 to the position marked by the symbol. Attention: Do not use the steam function for silk and synthetics so as not to damage the surface of the fabric. 4. STEAM BOOST FUNCTION 4.1 Press the steam boost button A3 to generate a strong flow of steam which can even out even very crumpled up textiles. 4.2 Only use the steam boost function when the temperature dial A9 is set in the range to MAX. In order to use this function, the water tank Aqa must be filled with water. If the indicator light A2 is lit, wait until it turns off and only then press the steam boost button A3. Wait at least 5 seconds before pressing the button A3 again. 4.3 The steam boost function can also be used when vertical ironing textiles (e.g. curtains, garments hanging on coat hangers, etc.). Attention: Do not use the steam boost function for silk and synthetics so as not to damage the surface of the fabric. 5. WATER SPRAY FUNCTION The water spray function can be used at any ironing temperature. Make sure that there is water in the water tank Aqa and to spray textiles using the spray nozzle A7 press the spray button A4. Note: We do not recommend using the spraying function on silk and synthetics. EN-7

EN Steam Iron 6. TURNING OFF When you have finished using it, set the continuous steam control lever A5 to the position marked with the symbol and turn the temperature dial A9 to the MIN position. Disconnect the power cord from the power socket and allow the soleplate Aqs to cool down. When the soleplate Aqs has cooled down, pour out the water from the water tank Aqa into a sink. TIPS FOR QUALITY IRONING Do not fill the washing machine drum with too much laundry, otherwise it will be overly crumpled up. You can also avoid overly crumpled laundry by setting a lower spin drying speed. If you are ironing fabrics from blended materials (e.g. 40% wool and 60% synthetic material), set the temperature dial according to the material which is ironed at a lower temperature. If you do not know the composition of the fabric, identify the suitable temperature dial setting by ironing a piece of the fabric from the underside. Start by setting the temperature dial at a low temperature and gradually increase it until the ideal temperatures is achieved. Never iron over places that have sweat marks or other stains. The high temperature fixes the stain, making it difficult to remove. To avoid silk, wool and synthetic fabrics from being shiny after ironing, iron them from the underside. Some materials are easier to iron when they are lightly damp. Spray fine fabrics with the spray before ironing them or iron them under a lightly damp wiping cloth. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING Cleaning the exterior parts of the iron Before cleaning, make sure that the continuous steam control lever A5 is set to position, the temperature dial A9 is turned to the MIN position and the power cord is disconnected from the power socket. Allow the soleplate Aqs to cool down. Flip open the cap A6 and then empty out the water tank Aqa into a sink. Close the cap A6 again. Wipe the soleplate Aqs and the outer surface of the iron with a lightly dampened cloth. Then wipe everything dry. Do not use metal items, petrol, solvents or abrasive cleaning products, etc. for cleaning to avoid damaging the surface. Do not submerge the iron in water. Removing limescale deposits For the removal of limescale deposits from the inner part of the soleplate Aqs, the iron is equipped with a Self-Clean function. Use the Self-Clean function regularly at least once every 14 days. Make sure that the continuous steam control lever A5 is set to position and that the iron is disconnected from the power socket. Fill the tank Aqa with water up to approximately half its capacity. Do not add vinegar or other limescale removers into the water. Connect the iron to a power socket. Set the temperature dial A9 to maximum and wait until the indicator light A2 turns off. Disconnect the iron from the el. power socket and hold it in a horizontal position above the sink. Press the Self-Clean button A0 and hold it down. Steam and hot water will start to be emitted from the soleplate Aqs. At the same time also limescale deposits from the inner parts of the soleplate Aqs will be removed. Gently move the iron from side to side until the water tank Aqa is completely empty. After emptying it out, release the button A0. If the soleplate Aqs is very soiled, you can repeat this process once more. After completing the Self-Clean process, reconnect the iron to the power socket and allow it to heat up to maximum temperature in order to dry out the soleplate Aqs. Iron over a piece of unneeded fabric to remove water stains that formed on the soleplate Aqs during the cleaning process. Then set the temperature dial A9 to the MIN position, disconnect the iron from the power socket and allow it to cool down. Finally, wipe the soleplate Aqs using a clean cloth. EN-8
