Overview Building facade Roadside monument Roadside monument Retrofitting Building entry Reception and lobby Fabricated letters Sign panels Letters on glass This document provides guidelines for applying the company brand signature to signage. There are four basic locations for signage, as indicated in the chart to the left. For eterior signage applications, building facade is primary, roadside monument is secondary and building entry is tertiary identification. There are also three fabrication options, depending on the type and location of the signage. All UTC Aerospace Systems facilities must adhere to these graphic and structural guidelines for signage. It is also important to comply with all codes and regulations when modifying eisting signs or installing new ones. Guidelines for sizing, clear area placement and other information can be found in this document including: Sign sizing guide Sign clear area guide Sign panel layout guide Materials and color guide UTC Aerospace Systems Graphic Identity Guidelines ISSUED 03.11.15 2 of 16
Building facade Fabricated letters (illumination optional) Sign panel (illumination optional) Depending on eisting site conditions, one of the two sign types shown at left can be applied to building facades. Use the option that best matches your requirements: A. Fabricated letters This is the most versatile option for all building facade signage. This sign type allows for the company brand signature to be visible at a distance with minimal impact to the eisting architecture. If a power supply is available, the face of the letters can be illuminated for night viewing. For more information on fabricated letters see page 8 of this document. B. Sign panel Use a sign panel to maimize visibility on walls with severe contrasting teture, shadowing or color. If a power supply is available, the face of the letters can be illuminated for night viewing. UTC Aerospace Systems Graphic Identity Guidelines ISSUED 03.11.15 3 of 16
