RETAIL Pegasus Group encompasses a multi-disciplinary team of planning consultants with exceptional knowledge of key planning issues affecting the retail sector. Our proactive and client orientated approach to projects has a proven track record of achieving results. Our experience within the retail sector, ranges from major town centre, edge and out of centre supermarket developments, petrol stations, drive thru restaurants, coffee shops, bulky goods retailing and the promotion of new district and local centres forming part of major urban extensions. Retail planning policy and its successful interpretation can be complex and as such Pegasus Group has a specialist Retail Team to deal with this specialised subject.

CONSULTATION Consultation is an essential step in the planning process. Recognising the need for expert advice and guidance, Pegasus Group established a specialist consultation team to help guide clients as they respond to the challenges of this changing agenda. Our team work closely with clients to help shape a bespoke approach to pre-application consultation. Our aim is to deliver positive, meaningful and inclusive public engagement in a way that adds value for all involved. Pegasus Group has developed four quality indicators which can be used to test adequacy of pre-application consultation as it develops. These quality indicators are derived from a combination of relevant legislation and case law, guidance and good practice and can be used to guide the approach, methodology, choice of tools and techniques adopted.

HERITAGE Our in-house Heritage specialists, acting for private and public clients, advise widely in respect of Heritage issues, including providing specialist advice to owners and custodians with regards to historic buildings, historic landscapes and archaeology. This includes undertaking heritage assessments, assessing and articulating the significance of heritage assets, preparing impact assessments, providing heritage expert witness at Public Inquiry and designing schemes of mitigation. The historic environment is a key feature of this Country s rich and varied urban and rural landscape and includes designated heritage assets such as Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas, Scheduled Monuments and Registered Parks and Gardens as well as the many other undesignated heritage assets. Our work focuses on problem solving and securing permission for development with added expertise in built heritage, historic landscapes and archaeology.
