The GT 1000 O-ring construction minimizes process downtime by allowing for convenient in-line removal of the glass tube for cleaning and maintenance. Due to the inherent brittle characteristics of glass and conditions beyond our control, tube breakage could result even within specified operating conditions. Do not use glass tube meters with fluids that are toxic, or chemically react with glass such as water above 140 F, steam, alkalis, fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, or molten metal. Failure to heed warning can result in serious personal injury and/or damage to the equipment. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT (Alarms, Meter Mounting, Valves) Alarm Limit Switches Integral, single or dual alarms available. Reed switch design used on meters sizes 7-13. Inductance-type alarm switches used on meters sizes 2 and 6. Up to two alarm switches can be installed to provide initiation of signal at preset flow values. Settings can be adjusted by repositioning the alarm switches. Alarm Certifications All alarms are FM (Factory Mutual) approved and CSA/NRTL/C* certified intrinsically safe (Exia) and CSA Enclosure 4X/FM NEMA 4X when installed according to Figures 6 and 7. *Canadian Standards Association (CSA)/Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) accredited by the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). CSA, FM, UL, ETL are all currently approved NRTL test laboratories. Reed Switch Alarms Single or dual for meter sizes 7-13 Division 1, Class I, Groups A, B, C, D, Class II, Groups E, F, G, Class III. Required Accessories: Approved switch isolator/power supply (available from Brooks) or entity approved safety barrier. Entity parameters: Vmax 30V, Imax 100mA, Li=0, Ci=0. Division 2, Class I, Groups A, B, C, D, Class II, Groups E, F, G, Class III. Voltage and current limits are 140 Vac, 70 ma or 200 Vdc, 50 ma. Alarm Accessories Remotely mounted, switch isolator/power supplies are required for inductive alarms and recommended for reed switch alarms. One or two single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) relays are included with either 110 or 220 volt units. Meter Mountings Brackets for panel mounting flush or front of panel.
