To maintain their currency, all standards are periodically reviewed, and new editions are published. Between editions, amendments may be issued. Standards may also be withdrawn. It is important that readers assure themselves they are using a current standard, which should include any amendments which may have been published since the standard was purchased. Detailed information about joint Australian/New Zealand standards can be found by visiting the standards webshop in Australia at www.saiglobal.com or Standards New Zealand s website at www.standards.govt.nz. For more frequent listings or notification of revisions, amendments, and withdrawals, Standards Australia and Standards New Zealand offer a number of update options. For information about these services, users should contact their respective national standards organisation. We also welcome suggestions for improvement in our standards, and especially encourage readers to notify us immediately of any apparent inaccuracies or ambiguities. Please address your comments to either the Chief Executive of Standards Australia or the New Zealand Standards Executive at the address shown on the title page. This standard was issued in draft form for comment as DR AS/NZS 1067.2:2015.

ii PREFACE This Standard was prepared by the Joint Standards Australia/Standards New Zealand Committee CS-053, SunglassesSunglasses and fashion spectacles, to supersede, in part, AS/NZS 1067:2003, Sunglasses and fashion spectacles. The objective of this Standard is to specify test methods for sunglasses and fashion spectacles (including replacement filters) in accordance with AS/NZS 1067.1:2016. This Standard is identical with, and has been reproduced from ISO 12311:2013, Personal protective equipment Test methods for sunglasses and related eyewear. As this Standard is reproduced from an International Standard, the following applies: (a) In the source text this International Standard should read this Australian/New Zealand Standard. (b) A full point substitutes for a comma when referring to a decimal marker. References to International Standards should be replaced by references to Australian or Australian/New Zealand Standards, as follows: Reference to International Standard ISO 4007 Personal protective equipment Eye and face protection Vocabulary Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1337 Personal eye protection Eye and face protection 1337.0 Part 0: Vocabulary (ISO 4007:2012, MOD) 12312 Eye and face protection Sunglasses and related eyewear 1067 Eye and face protection Sunglasses and fashion spectacles 12312-1 Part 1: Sunglasses for general use 1067.1 Part 1: Requirements Only normative references that have been adopted as Australian or Australian/New Zealand Standards have been listed. The terms normative and informative have been used in this Standard to define the application of the annex to which they apply. A normative annex is an integral part of a Standard, whereas an informative annex is only for information and guidance.
