2. INTRODUCTION The air purifier reproduces the natural environment outdoors. It is not designed to create an artificial fresh environment, but rather make the indoor air purified as natural clean air through circulated purification, disinfection and sterilization to increase anion and ozone. 3. FEATURES Compact Portable No Duct work Required No Chemicals Low Maintenance Low Electrical Usage Complete User Control No Residual Contamination 4. APPLICATIONS Restaurants Smoking Areas Production Areas Basements Veterinary Hospital Casinos & Large Meeting Halls Barns, Kennels & Stables Photo Labs & Salons Day Care Centers 3

Chemical Odors Bowling Alleys & Parlors 5. INSTALLATION 5.1 Remove unit from shipping carton. 5.2 Remove all protective materials. 5.3 Check for shipping damage and loose or broken parts. 5.4 Read Owner s Manual thoroughly prior to installation. 5.5 Remove purification plates from the box and install. 5.6 Fully insert cord into the power cord receptacle on the back of the unit. 5.7 Determine placement location for the unit, plug the unit into a 230 volt, outlet. Make sure the power switch is on, and adjust controls according to the application. 6. FRONT GRILL & OZONE PLATE REMOVAL Step 1: Unplug the pureair CLASSIC to prevent Electric shock when you want to wash or maintain the unit. Step 2: Drive screw out from front grill. Then Remove the front grill. Step 3: Hold the ceramic plate insert in. Step 3 4

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 7. PLACING THE UNIT: In order to maximize the purification function, the unit should be placed as higher as possible, or base something in the unit bottom to make the air blast window tilting upward so as to better oxidize and purify the floating bacteria and smog pollutants. A ceiling fan can also aid in purification of the unit. The pureair CLASSIC is most effective when placed in a position that allows the anion and ozone mixed evenly and thoroughly with the polluted air. Suggested locations, listed in the order of preference: Nearest to the source of the worst pollution. Near cold-air area in an air circulation. In the area most frequently-used to achieve maximum benefit. Notes: For maximum control, the unit should be placed where easy access to the controls is possible. The rear of the unit should always have at least one inch of open area to allow unrestricted airflow. Be sure power cord is not accessible to small children to prevent injury. Caution: This unit should never be placed where it can blow directly into the face of any person or pet. 5

8. SETTINGS AND ADJUSTMENTS: 8.1 FAN CONTROL. The performance of cleansing properties is fully displayed with smooth air circulation. The fan control can turn on or turn off the fan, or adjust wind speed without degrees. When the fan is rotating at the fastest speed, there may be a relatively loud noise, please place the unit in a certain distance according to your personal preference. 8.2 OZONE CONTROL. The ozone control both turns the purifier on and off, as well as adjusts the ozone output. Keeping in mind the previous statement, adjust the purifier so that the odor of ozone fades into the environment after 15-30 seconds. To reduce mold, mildew, and bacteria, turn the unit on high for 3-4 hours. Once sanitization is complete, open doors or windows to allow room to ventilate. Caution: Always be sure a room or area is UNOCCUPIED before performing the above described Ozone control 9. MAINTENANCE Periodic maintenance is required to insure that the pureair CLASSIC operates properly. A severely polluted environment can foul a purification plate as little as two weeks or as long as 6 months. Shown here are basic maintenance procedures 6

that should be carried out to keep your unit running at top performance. 9.1 Fan Blade and Front Grill. Take off front/reinstall grill method: Take off front grill then wipe off fan blade and front grill (if dirty) with damp washcloth. The fan requires no maintenance (with the exception of the first time it is used, when it may be necessary to give it a gentle push to get it started). 10.CHANGING THE FUSE. A fuse holder is located on the back of the unit next to the power cord. To replace or check the fuse, remove the fuse holder by pressing on the clip and pulling straight out. If the fuse is blown, replace with the backup fuse. Insert the new fuse into the fuse holder. Press the assembly straight in until it latches. If the fuse holder cap is not installed correctly, the unit will not operate. 110 volt models: fusing current no more than1.0 Amp. 7

11.TROUBLE SHOOTING. Troubleshooting - What to look for first. 11.1. I have plugged in the unit, turned the power switch to "On" and nothing happens. What's wrong? Make sure the electrical outlet is capable of providing power to the unit. Check to see if the proper fuse is installed and that it is serviceable. Ensure that the fuse cap is completely seated and secured in its receptacle. Be sure the cord is fully plugged into unit. 11.2. The fan is operating but the unit won't produce any ozone. What's wrong? Check the pureair CLASSIC purification plate(s) for serviceability. If they are cracked or broken, the plate(s) will require replacement. Ensure maintenance procedures required for the purification plate have been performed. You should order new plates from your dealer. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, due to the Limited Warranty of the product. 11.3. It is normal that the pureair CLASSIC purification plate is making a sound, having a burning smell, and/or appearing arcing or sparking. 11.4. What are the most typical application problems? Symptom: A belief that the proper equipment is placed in the environment and the equipment appears unsuccessful. Problem: Lack of air movement, improper placement of the unit. Symptom: Strong odors still remain in the environment after placement. Problem: Lack of ozone, improper placement of the unit. Symptom: A strong odor of ozone is in the environment. Problem: Too much ozone accumulation in the environment, as a result of improper purifier control setting, and / or lack of air movement. 8

Symptom: Visual haze of smoke and / or particulate remains in the environment. Problem: Lack of ionization and / or air movement. 11.5. Unit does not operate Is the unit plugged in? Is the power cord fully inserted into the back of the unit? Are you sure the outlet is functioning normally? Is the unit turned on? 11.6. Air flow is restricted or reduced Is the unit properly placed away from objects that may obstruct air flow? Are the filters and fan cover clean? 12. Warranty Information: If your unit fails to operate properly after performing trouble-shooting, contact your dealer for further assistance.
