Pacificus Juncus ensifolius Sound Transit will install and maintain high quality landscaping near stations using a mix of native and adaptive plants that are easy to maintain Our standard planting palette includes a mix of native and adaptive plants that thrive in the local weather conditions and require little maintenance Sound Transit surveyed trees in the project area to identify all significant and landmark trees and we are determining which trees must be removed as part of the project We are working closely with the City of Redmond and Washington State Department of Transportation to preserve as many trees as possible. Where trees cannot be saved, Sound Transit look for opportunities to replace trees or mitigate the loss of trees The final planting plan will be shared with the community once the Design/Builder is selected and advances the project design April 2014
